摘要: A lighting system includes a master lighting device, a control unit, and one or more slave lighting devices. The master lighting device includes a power input, a light emitting component, a memory device, a processor, and a network interface to communicate over a network. The memory device stores computer readable code that when executed by the processor, causes the master lighting device to receive a message that includes brightness information over the network, receive information regarding a characteristic of power received at the power input, control a brightness level of the light emitting component based on the brightness information and the information regarding the characteristic of the power, and send a message to the slave lighting devices to control their brightness level. The control unit includes a network interface send the message that includes the brightness information over the network.

摘要: Various methods of manufacturing a lighting apparatus and embodiments of a modular networked lighting apparatus are disclosed. One method defines a mechanical form factor with a minimum set of electrical connections for a networking module, builds a subassembly of the networked lighting apparatus, the subassembly comprising attachment points compatible with the mechanical form factor for the networking module and contacts for the minimum set of electrical connections for the networking module, installs a networking module into the subassembly of the networked lighting apparatus, the networking module compatible with a selected networking protocol for the networked lighting apparatus, completes the final assembly of the networked lighting module, and marks the networked lighting apparatus to indicate the selected networking protocol for the networked lighting apparatus. In some embodiments, the lighting apparatus may function without the networking module installed. One embodiment of the modular, networked light bulb has means for supporting and holding an electronics module conforming with a predetermined form factor in place, and means for allowing the electronics module to control at least a brightness level of the at least one LED. The modular networked light bulb may have a networked controller conforming with the predetermined form factor used as the electronics module. The networked controller is able to connect to a network and may be positioned and held by the means for supporting and holding an electronics module.

摘要: A method and a circuit for driving light emitting diodes (LEDs) in multiphase are provided. A string of LEDs divided into groups connected to each other in series is provided. Each group is coupled to ground through separate conductive paths. A phase switch is provided in each conductive path. Increasing the input voltage turn on the string of LEDs, group by group in the sequence downstream the string. To reduce power dissipation, the phase switch of an upstream group is turned off when next downstream group is turned on.

摘要: A wall lamp with a rotating inner shade includes a lamp body having a housing and a shade attached to the housing. A stand is attached to the housing within and by means of the shade. An inner shade in balanced on a free end of the stand. The inner shade has a closed upper end and multiple blades formed on the upper end. A passage is defined adjacent blades. Hot air is generated by the burning light bulb and rises in the inner shade. The inner shade rotates when the hot air impinges the blades and passes through the passages. Consequently, the light radiated from the wall lamp is vivid.

摘要: A night light and pacifier holding system for holding a plurality of decorative pacifiers therein in aligned positions. A hollow base in the form of elliptical dish shaped upper and lower portions are secured together with a light source having a diffuser therein. A substantially flat base of the system is capable of supporting the system on a flat surface. The upper surface of the upper portion of the system includes a plurality of openings formed therein with guiding and securing pins formed adjacent each of the openings in order that pacifiers having decorative shaped heads may be inserted in the openings and held in aligned positions by holes formed in each of the pacifiers captured in the pins. The pacifiers are formed from a luminescent material which may be recharged from the light source within the hollow base when held in the openings.

摘要: The apparatus is a modular medical lighting system which includes a ceiling-mounted reading light module, examination light module, ambient light module, and a night light module. The reading light is directed toward a selected reading area on a hospital bed directly below the medical lighting system. The examination light illuminates the entire top surface of the hospital bed. The ambient light directs light to a wall abutting the head of the hospital bed thereby providing reflected light to the vicinity of the hospital bed. The night light directs light to a selected side of the bed so as to light a nurse's medical chart clipboard without disturbing the patient. The modules may be provided separately or in combination.

摘要: A crib light is provided having front and rear housing portions which cooperate to clamp the light to a horizontal rail of a crib. The rear housing portion may be removed to permit the front housing portion to be mounted flush to a vertical wall surface. In addition, a lens cover is provided adjacent to a light emitting aperture of the front housing portion for controlling the brightness of light emitted and a control circuit is further provided for automatically shutting the light off after a predetermined interval of time.

摘要: A safety control system for an electrically operated hospital bed utilizes a wireless disconnect signal from an above mounted safety light to an outlet below which supplies electrical power to the bed, thereby to interrupt power to the outlet upon the detection of physical contact with the safety light, as perhaps caused by an IV pole raising with the bed. In a preferred embodiment, a two-way transmission path is utilized to verify no blockage of the line of sight transmission path between the outlet and the light, with power to the outlet being disconnected upon contact with the light or blockage of the line of sight path.
