    摘要: A sheet feeding device includes a cassette in which recording media are configured to be stacked. The cassette includes a rear end regulation member configured to be moved in a direction in which the recording media are fed to regulate rear ends of the recording media and a size detection device configured to swing with movement of the rear end regulation member. The sheet feeding device further includes a size determination device arranged within an area corresponding to a width of the cassette in the direction in which the recording media are fed. The size determination device is configured to determine a size of the recording media stacked in the cassette by detecting a position of the size detection device.

    摘要: In synchronization of a conventional AV system, when a stream as the master stops, a system clock cannot be corrected for synchronization. Since the correction is consistently performed even when an error is small, overhead of correction is large. On the other hand, when an error is large, sharp correction causes a feeling that something wrong. In the present invention, when the stream as the master stops, previously registering the degree of priority regarding the master, consideration of a corrected period or a previous error for the system clock, or transmitting a stream containing information regarding the master can allow for other process to serves as the master. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a method for synchronization with maintaining correction of the system clock. When a corrected error is large, gradual correction or reference can provide a system with normal feeling. Furthermore, when an error of correction is small, omission of correction or reference can provide a system with less overhead.

    摘要: A multimedia processing system of the present invention comprises an application, a multimedia abstracting unit, and a multimedia processing module. The multimedia processing abstracting unit is comprised of: a logic module; a stream path for connecting each logic module; a stream pipe for transmitting/receiving data between each logic module and the application; and a correspondence managing unit which carries structural information of the logic module, the stream pipe, and the stream path for making correspondence between with the processing module. The correspondence managing unit updates the structural information every time each logic module is created and connected according to the command from the application and, thereafter, at the point where the stream pipe and stream path are connected, receives a LOCK command indicating confirmation of structure from the application. Thereby one corresponding processing module is confirmed and started.

    摘要: A sheet conveying device for an image forming apparatus of the present invention includes a cover hinged to the casing of the apparatus and supporting a roller shaft on which a drive roller is mounted. A driven roller and a positioning section for positioning the drive roller are mounted on the casing. The cover is movable between a closed position where the drive roller is pressed against the driven roller and an open position where the former is released from the latter. A first drive gear is affixed to the end of the roller shaft while a second drive gear, meshing with the first drive gear, is mounted on the cover and receives the output torque of a drive source. The roller shaft is mounted on the cover such that the pitch circle of the first drive gear moves on the pitch circle of the second drive gear while touching it externally.

    摘要: A testing integrated circuit for a semiconductor chip, having an integrated circuit, includes a selector, provided in the integrated circuit of the semiconductor chip, for selecting one of a first set of signals supplied from external portions of the semiconductor chip and a second set of signals used for measuring voltages at respective predetermined portions in an internal circuit of the semiconductor chip. The first set of signals is converted from analog to digital signals during a normal operation of the semiconductor chip. An analog-to-digital converter provided in the integrated circuit receives an analog signal output from the selector and produces a digital signal. A plurality of output pads disposed in the semiconductor chip transmits the digital signal from the analog-to-digital converter to the external portions. The output pads correspond to a bit quantity of the analog-to-digital converter.

    摘要: Detector circuitry monitors the line voltage on a telephone line to detect an off-hook condition. In order to accomodate varying line voltages and noise conditions, the circuitry automatically selects a threshold off-hook voltage by an iterative initialization procedure which is initiated on circuit power-up. The intialization procedure repeatedly compares the threshold voltage to the actual line voltage over a period of time to eliminate false off-hook detection due to noise.
