摘要: An object of the invention is to provide a sound generating apparatus which reproduces sound, such as music or voice, from a sound generating member, such as a flower or a tree. A sound generating apparatus 10 includes a vibration unit 11 and a drive unit 14. The vibration unit 11 includes a vibration member 12 to be attached to a sound generating member 1 and a solenoid coil 13 wound around the vibration member 12. The drive unit 14 includes a magnet 15 and a bottom part 17b, a trunk part 17a, and a top part 17c. The magnet 15 is provided at one end with respect to the axial direction of the core member, and opposes one lateral face of the solenoid coil. The bottom part 17b is provided so as to oppose the vibration member 12 with interposing the magnet 15 between the bottom part 17b and the vibration member 12, the trunk part 17a is in the form of a cylinder, extending from the outer part of the bottom part 17b so that the trunk part 17a covers the outer peripheries of the vibration unit 11 and the magnet 15. The top part 17c extends from an end of the trunk part 17a in the direction of the diameter so as to oppose the second lateral face of the solenoid coil 13.

摘要: To provide a magnetic memory cell that is capable of efficiently changing the magnetization directions of magneto-sensitive layers. A magnetic memory cell comprises an annular magnetic layer 4a through which extends a write bit line 5a that generates a magnetic field, and a TMR film S20a configured so as to include: a first magneto-sensitive layer 14a, a magnetization direction of which is changed by the magnetic field in the annular magnetic layer 4a; and a magnetoresistive effect revealing body 20a disposed on a surface of the first magneto-sensitive layer 14a so that an electric current flows in a direction perpendicular to a laminating surface of the laminate, and the first magneto-sensitive layer 14a has a thickness thereof set in a range of not less than 0.5 nm to not more than 40 nm.

摘要: In a method for magnetically recording and reproducing signals in and from a magnetic recording medium via a thin film magnetic head, the recording medium has a magnetic layer of up to 0.5 .mu.m thick containing hexagonal ferromagnetic particles on a non-magnetic substrate, and the magnetic head includes a recording head whose gap adjacent portion is formed of a soft magnetic material having a saturation magnetic flux density of at least 0.7 T and a reproducing MR head. In one form, the magnetic layer has a surface roughness (Ra) of up to 5 nm, and a coercivity (Hc) of at least 1,100 Oe and a squareness ratio (S) of at least 0.70. In another form, the magnetic layer contains hexagonal ferrite and has a squareness ratio (S.perp.) of at least 0.70, and the magnetic head produces a reproduction output which is subject to zero-crossing detection without passing through a differential circuit.

摘要: A mixer includes: a magnetoresistive effect element including a fixed magnetic layer, a free magnetic layer, and a nonmagnetic spacer layer disposed between the fixed magnetic layer and the free magnetic layer; and a magnetic field applying unit that applies a magnetic field to the free magnetic layer. The mixer is operable, when a first high-frequency signal and a second high-frequency signal as a local signal are inputted, to multiply the first high-frequency signal and the second high-frequency signal using the magnetoresistive effect element and to generate a multiplication signal. A frequency converting apparatus includes the mixer and a filter operable, when a higher frequency and a lower frequency out of frequencies of the first high-frequency signal and the second high-frequency signal are expressed as f1 and f2 respectively, to pass one out of a frequency (f1+f2) and a frequency (f1−f2) out of the multiplication signal.

摘要: A magnetic device and a frequency analyzer are provided as those industrially utilizing a resonance phenomenon of a direction of magnetization of a magnetoresistive element. Since polarities of an alternating current i vary with time, the direction of magnetization oscillates as affected by the magnitude and frequency of the alternating current. When the frequency fF of the direction of magnetization of a free layer in the magnetoresistive element coincides with the frequency f of the alternating current flowing in the magnetoresistive element, the oscillation of the direction of magnetization resonates to increase a voltage between output terminals. A magnetic yoke applies such a magnetic field as to cause resonance, to the free layer. A direct current is used as an electric current outputted from a current control circuit and, while this direct current is swept, voltages at respective specific resonance frequencies are detected by a monitor circuit.
