摘要: A vehicle steering device in which steering torque is transmitted from a steering wheel to steered wheels via a rack-and-pinion mechanism. The steering device comprises a rack shaft in which a rack is formed, two rack support parts positioned to both sides of a longitudinal direction of the rack shaft relative to the position of a pinion, and an urging part positioned between the two rack support parts. The two rack support parts are positioned near each other so as to support only a back surface of the region where the rack is formed in the rack shaft which is positioned in a steering neutral position, the back surface being supported so as to be capable of sliding in the longitudinal direction. The urging part urges the rack shaft in at least a direction other than towards the rack.

摘要: A clip can fix a linear member, and is integrally molded by a base body, a bearing portion, and a locking lid. In the base body, the locking lid is integrally molded on one end to be freely rotatable. The bearing portion extends from one side of the base body, and includes an opening portion wherein a rotating shaft rotatably enters. In the locking lid, there are integrally molded a locking portion which can lock in the base body on the other side; the rotating shaft which can freely rotate in the bearing portion including the opening portion on one side; and a planar member covering the holding portion between the locking portion and the rotating shaft. Shapes and structures of the base body, the bearing portion, and the locking lid are made such that a molding metal mold is only pulled in one direction of a dividing line, and a slider is only pulled in one direction of a lower side, so that not only an entire size of the metal mold can be reduced, but also a plurality of pieces of molded articles can be simultaneously produced by one metal mold.

摘要: A vehicle seat cushion structure whereby even when a steering wheel or other object is pushed closer toward a vehicle occupant after a vehicle is involved in a head-on collision and little space is left in front of the vehicle occupant, the space can be readily enlarged. The cushion structure comprises a supporting member provided on a seat frame and a cushion member disposed in a folded state on the supporting member. The folded cushion member is capable of being withdrawn from a cushion removal opening formed on a side of a seat. Space is provided between the vehicle occupant and the steering wheel or the like when the cushion member is removed via the cushion removal opening.

摘要: An apparatus for diagnosing a fault of a hydraulic pressure source, including a fluid tank, a pump for pumping up fluid from the fluid tank, an accumulator for accumulating the fluid pumped up by the pump, a pressure detector for detecting a pressure of the fluid in the accumulator and generating an output signal, a pump drive or motor responsive to the output signal for driving the pump, and an electromagnetic valve of normally closed type interposed either in a flow path between the accumulator and a hydraulic pressure instrument or in a flow path between the tank and the hydraulic pressure instrument. This apparatus comprises an excitation signal generator for generating an excitation signal which excites the electromagnetic valve for a predetermined period of time, and a control unit for determing an anomaly on the basis of the output signal from the pressure detector. If any fault exists in the hydraulic pressure source, fall and rise of the hydraulic pressure is not effected normally. The control unit determines whether the variation of the hydraulic pressure is normal or abnormal on the basis of the output signal from the pressure detector.

摘要: A vehicle seat includes a pad that is made of resin foam, and that forms a seat cushion or a seatback. The pad has a layered structure formed of a surface layer pad that forms a seating surface-side portion of the pad and a back layer pad that is provided on the back side of the surface layer pad. The back layer pad is higher in hardness and lower in density than the surface layer pad.

摘要: A compiler 58, which is a compiler that realizes program development in a fewer man hours, translates a source program 72 written in a high-level language into a machine language program. This compiler 58 is comprised of: a directive obtainment unit that obtains a directive that a machine language program to be generated should be optimized; a parser unit 76 that parses the source program 72; an intermediate code conversion unit 78 that converts the source program 72 into intermediate codes based on a result of the parsing performed by the parser unit 76; an optimization unit 68 that optimizes the intermediate codes according to the directive; and a code generation unit 90 that converts the intermediate codes into the machine language program. The above directive is a directive to optimize the machine language program targeted at a processor that uses a cache memory.

摘要: An object of the invention, in the formation of a thin film on a synthetic resin, is to improve adhesiveness between the synthetic resin and the thin film by a relatively simple method. In the invention, a protective metallic layer is formed on a synthetic resin, and one thin film of (1) a semi-transmitting metallic mirror, (2) a total reflection metallic mirror, or (3) a transparent conductive film is formed. The material of the protective metallic layer is preferably selected from the group of Ti, Zr, Nb, Si, In, and Sn, and for sake of ensuring adhesiveness between the synthetic resin and the thin film, the film thickness of the protective metal layer is preferably 1 nm or more. Also, when the film thickness of the protective metallic layer is large, transmittance of the whole of the laminated film is lowered due to light absorption by the protective metallic layer, and hence, the film thickness of the protective metallic layer is preferably not more than 5 nm.
