摘要: There is provided an economical vehicle vibration suppression device capable of efficiently reducing a vortex with a smaller number of devices and controlling the speed of movement in a vehicle longitudinal direction of the vortex. The vehicle vibration suppression device includes a pair of ducts, a pressure control device, and a control unit. The ducts, below a floor surface of a vehicle body, are mounted adjacent to at least a pair of bogies on which the vehicle body is mounted. The ducts are arranged in a direction perpendicular to a traveling direction of the vehicle body and mounted so as to penetrate through both side surfaces of the vehicle body. The pressure control device is mounted within each of the ducts and has openings, one of the openings serving as an intake port and the other opening serving as a discharge port. The pressure control device generates a pressure difference in each of the ducts. The control unit controls start and stop of suction performed by the pressure control device while determining a side surface of the vehicle to be subjected to the suction by the pressure control device on the basis of current distance information of the railway vehicle during currently traveling. The control unit suppresses vibration by driving the pressure control device and sucking a vortex caused by turbulence of air flow generated at a portion of the bogie when the railway vehicle passes through the tunnel.

摘要: A brain cooling device is provided to cool the brain sufficiently to the subcortical tissue in a short time. The device includes a cuff (3) capable of storing therein a cooled fluid and placeable in the esophagus (H1) of the patient (H) when inserted orally or transnasally. A tube (2) extends from the cuff (3) for infusing the fluid into the cuff (3) placed in the esophagus (H1) from outside the body of the patient H and discharging the fluid from the cuff (3). The cuff (3) has flexibility so as to inflate or deflate in response to infusion or discharge of the fluid and is configured in such a manner that when the fluid is infused therein while placed in the esophagus (H1), the cuff (3) that has been inflated comes into close contact with the inner wall (H4) of the esophagus (H1).

摘要: To provide an optical module with optical elements having a collimator and filter functions arranged on the same substrate, and reducing a complicated alignment and obtaining an excellent optical coupling while securing actually sufficient amount of reflection attenuation. A plurality of wavelength selective filters 71 to 74 with different selective wavelengths are disposed on a substrate 50, so that reflected light reflected by a filter is sequentially made incident, and fiber collimators 101 to 106 combined of an optical fiber terminal with a coreless fiber attached to its tip end and a lens are disposed on an optical path of incident light made incident to a filter on the uppermost stream side, on an optical path of transmitted light transmitted through each filter, and on an optical path of reflected light by a filter on the lowermost stream side. Each fiber collimator is alternately disposed on one side and the other side of one substrate, and positioned so as to be placed in V-grooves 61 to 66 formed on the same plane on the substrate. All of the V-grooves are formed on the same plane, and at least one set of the fiber collimators having a relation of facing to each other through the filter on one side and the other side is disposed on the same axial line.

摘要: An apparatus for removing stone and gravel from excavated soil by vibration. The apparatus is particularly useful for operation at the foot of a volcano, mountainous district or the like. Characteristic features of the apparatus are that it is self-propelled by means of endless tracks and the excavated soil is separated into stone, gravel and soil with the aid of a sieving means and the separated stone and gravel are discharged from the apparatus by way of a conveyor, while the separated fine soil is conveyed by way of another conveyor and then is scattered rearward by means of a scattering device to be piled up on the working ground.
