摘要： A capstanless tape feed control system of a reel-drive type is capable of accurately detecting the respective working radii of a supply reel and a take-up reel and the total length of the tape, of efficiently controlling tape speed and of preventing damage to the tape. The tape feed control system calculates the working radii of the supply reel and the take-up reel and the total length of the tape while the leading end of the tape is moving toward the take-up reel, and detects tape speed on the basis of data representing the total length of the tape and the radius ratio between the supply reel and the take-up reel. The tension of the tape and the reel driving torque are detected while the tape is being fed and the working radii of the supply reel and the take-up reel are calculated on the basis of the tension and the reel driving torque. A tape loading operation and a tape unloading operation are performed after the leading end of the tape has been pulled out from the take-up reel, with the supply reel being held stationary and a predetermined back tension being applied to the tape by the take-up reel.

The housing has a first end defining an opening for receiving the inner cable therethrough and a second end adapted to fit to the outer casing of the bicycle control cable. A first screen screens the opening at the first end of the housing, wherein the first screen is structured to rupture when the inner cable is passed therethrough. A displaceable second screen screens the second end of the housing. A seal is disposed at the first end of the housing. The seal includes an annular seal member defining an inner area, and the seal member is sized to sealingly fit over the outer periphery of the inner cable of the bicycle control cable.

摘要： A torque wrench having ease of operation compatible with improved accuracy of measurement. The torque wrench includes a tightening portion, a housing having a front side cover part and a back side grip part and a shaft-like strain body that is contained inside the housing. First distortion sensors and second distortion sensors are arranged on the strain body at spaced points in the axial direction of the strain body for measuring an amount of distortion of the strain body. A microprocessor chip has functions including computation of a tightening torque which is corrected for errors due to changes in a point of effort where a tightening force is applied by a user. The correction is based on the detection result of the first distortion sensors and the second distortion sensors. An output portion outputs the corrected tightening torque measurement value.

Embodiments according to the present invention include systems and apparatus capable of an improved sustained rate of data recording onto disk type-recording media, for example. Many embodiments can remove the upper limits of both recording capacity and the number of media that can be used. Select embodiments can be used with different kinds of recording media as well. In a specific embodiment, the area on a hard disk is divided into three areas. A first area can be suitable for sequential recording of continuous data. A second area can be suitable for random recording of discontinuous data. A third area can be used for recording logical sector numbers, coupling logical sector numbers, and file information that are used for marking each of the first and second areas, so that continuous data can be recorded on the hard disk at a high data rate.
