    摘要: A method to manufacture a valve using metal injection moulding is disclosed. The valve housing comprises a welding cap for welding the upper part of the valve to the valve housing. The welding cap is placed so the upper part can be welding to the housing without damaging the inner cavity of the housing. There is a gab between the welding cap and the inner liner so the heat from the welding to not damage the inner liner allowing the inner parts of the valve to move freely.

    摘要: An expansion valve (1) is disclosed which comprises an inlet opening (2), at least one outlet opening (3) and first and second valve parts. The inlet opening (2) is adapted to receive fluid medium in a liquid state. The outlet opening(s) (3) is/are adapted to deliver fluid medium in an at least partly gaseous state to a flow path. The valve parts are arranged movable relative to each other in such a manner that the mutual position of the first valve part and the second valve part determines a fluid flow between the inlet opening (2) and the outlet opening(s) (3). During normal operation, a resulting force acts upon the first valve part and/or the second valve part to press the first and second valve parts towards each other. The expansion valve (1) comprises means for reducing the resulting force acting upon the valve part(s). Thereby the valve parts can easier be moved relative to each other, and the force required in order to operate the valve (1) is thereby reduced.

    摘要: A mounting system and method of attaching an a side impact curtain airbag to a vehicle is provided that is inexpensive, simple to use, and does not require fasteners or other connectors. The mounting system includes one or more airbag mounts comprising a plate that has been positioned within the vehicle. The plate may a separate structure that may be attached to a vehicle as a well as a surface of the vehicle's body to which an airbag may be attached. Preferably, the plate includes one or more first tabs and one or more second tabs which are configured to define a receiving area in the plate. The first and second tabs are also configured such that the second tabs are inverted relative to the first tabs. An airbag with one or more slits and a hemmed portion may also be added to the mounting system. The mounting system operates to attach the curtain airbag by having the first and second tabs configured such that the airbag engages the first and second tabs so as to bind a portion of the airbag's hemmed portion within the receiving area formed into the plate.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for testing the operational capability of flexure area equipped sensors especially those made of micromachined silicon. A thermal actuator beam is provided to bridge the structures which are joined by the flexure area. During the test, the beam's temperature is changed relative to that of the flexure area so as to provide a differential expansion or contraction. The result is that the flexure area bends and conventional bending sensors for the flexure area can sense the amount of bend. By comparing the actual amount of bend sensed with the amount expected from the temperature change applied to the beam, the operational capability can be determined.

    摘要: Disclosed are embodiments of apparatus, methods, and systems for inflatable curtain venting. In one embodiment, an inflatable curtain airbag is tested using a 50th-percentile dummy. The inflatable curtain airbag comprises a vent opening positioned such that during the crash test, the head of the 50th-percentile dummy strikes the airbag at the location of the vent such that the exit of inflation gas through the vent is at least partially blocked. The same inflatable curtain airbag may then be used in a test involving a 5th-percentile dummy, in which case the head of the 5th-percentile dummy would not strike the airbag so as to block the vent, thereby allowing for venting of the airbag.
