Abstract:
The subject of the present invention is a composite wound packing material comprising a casing enclosing a material, or an assembly of materials, forming fluid flow channels, said casing being composed of a self-supporting interface material formed from a thin layer of a composition comprising a hydrophobic matrix and comprising through-holes, said hydrophobic matrix comprising, per 100 parts by weight of a styrene/saturated olefin/styrene triblock copolymer having a viscosity of between 0.2 and 2 Pa·s, as measured in a 10% (weight/weight) solution in toluene, from 400 to 1220 parts by weight of a plasticizer, preferably a plasticizing oil, and from 0 to 720 parts by weight of petroleum jelly, it being specified, moreover, that the total amount of plasticizer and petroleum jelly is greater than or equal to 750 parts by weight and the amount of petroleum jelly is between 400 and 720 parts by weight when the amount of plasticizer is between 1000 and 1220 parts by weight.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an item (10) having liquid (L) storage and/or discharge properties, in particular a bandage, comprising: —a liquid-permeable proximal structure (20), consisting of a material capable of inflating in the presence of liquid (L), —a distal structure (30) capable of draining a liquid (L), —a hydrophobic and non-absorbent spacer structure (40) extending between the distal (30) and proximal (20) structures, and being capable of locally limiting, when said material is not inflated, the exchange of liquid between the distal and proximal structures by maintaining a gap between said structures, and of authorizing a local expansion of the proximal structure in at least one zone (P) where said material is inflated in response to coming into contact with a liquid, said expansion causing the proximal and distal structure to move together locally and the transfer of said liquid from the zone of the proximal structure (20) having undergone expansion to the distal structure (30).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel compression bandage formed by the assembling of a nonwoven based on short conjugate fibers which have been crimped and of a nonelastic material. The invention also relates to the use of this bandage in a bilayer compression system, in particular for the prevention or treatment of venous pathologies.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an adherent interface dressing intended for application directly to a wound.Said adherent interface dressing comprises a non-adherent cohesive gel formed from a hydrophobic elastomeric matrix consisting of a styrene-(ethylene/butylene)-styrene or styrene-(ethylene/propylene)-styrene triblock elastomer optionally associated with a styrene-(ethylene/butylene) or styrene-(ethylene/propylene) diblock copolymer; said elastomer being highly plasticized by means of a mineral oil, and containing dispersed therein a small quantity of hydrophilic particles of a hydrocolloid; and a flexible open-mesh fabric, said fabric comprising threads coated with the non-adherent cohesive gel in such a way as to leave the meshes substantially unsealed, characterized in that the fabric is a heat-set knit with weft yarns, said yarns being continuous multifilament yarns with non-elastic filaments, whereof the extensibility in the transverse direction measured in accordance with standard EN 13726-4 is between 0.01 and 0.5 N/cm.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel self-adhesive compression bandage, in particular for the treatment and prevention of pathologies of venous origin and lymphedema. This bandage is manufactured by the assembling of two self-adhesive nonwovens based on short conjugate fibers which have been crimped. The fibers are preferably made of polyester. The bandage can in addition comprise a supplementary layer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel compression bandage, formed by the assembling of a self-adhesive nonwoven based on short conjugate fibers which have been crimped and of an elastic material, the effectiveness of which increases over time. The invention also relates to the use of this bandage, alone or in a bilayer compression system, in particular for the prevention or treatment of venous pathologies or lymphedema.
