摘要： A roll of composite edge trimming tape made by adhering masking tape to filament-bearing adhesive tape. The filament-bearing adhesive tape is made from a double-coated tape having a substrate layer and two adhesive layers. A filament is placed along the length of the masking tape in contact with one of the adhesive layers at equal distances from the edges of the tape. The tape is then folded so that the portions of the tape on either side of the filament are bonded together by the adhesive layer, and the tape surrounds the filament at one end of the filament-bearing adhesive tape. The composite edge trimming tape is formed by bringing the adhesive side of the masking tape in contact with an adhesive surface of the filament-bearing adhesive tape so one longitudinal edge of the masking tape is proximate to the portion of the filament-bearing adhesive tape containing the filament.

摘要： A machine for dispensing fluid having digital codes stored in in the machine that are unique to the machine. Each code specifies a volume of fluid. The machine includes a fluid tank, dispensing unit, and control unit. The dispensing unit is configured to dispense the fluid when it is enabled. The control unit controls the dispensing, receiving a digital code from a user and verifying whether the code corresponds to a stored code. If it does, the control unit enables dispensing of the fluid. The control unit determines the volume of the fluid specified by the received code and enables the dispensing unit to dispense the fluid, but when the dispensing unit has dispensed the volume of the fluid specified by the received code, the control unit then disables the dispensing unit so that no more fluid can be dispensed until another valid code is provided to the machine.

摘要： The present invention is an composite edge trimming tape made by adhering masking tape to filament-bearing adhesive tape. The masking tape has a substrate layer and an adhesive layer. The filament-bearing adhesive tape is made from a double-coated tape that has a substrate layer and two adhesive layers, one being on either side of the substrate layer. A filament is placed along the length of the masking tape in contact with one of the adhesive layers at the middle of the tape at equal distances from the two edges of the tape running longitudinally along the length of the tape. The tape is then folded over so that the portions of the tape on either side of the filament are bonded together by the adhesive layer, and the tape surrounds the filament at one end of the filament-bearing adhesive tape. The composite edge trimming tape is formed by bringing the adhesive side of the masking tape in contact with one of the adhesive surfaces of the filament-bearing adhesive tape so that one longitudinal edge of the masking tape is proximate to the portion of the filament-bearing adhesive tape containing the filament.

A masking tape may include a reinforcing strip releasably attached to the non-adhesive side of conventional masking tape comprising a substrate with an adhesive layer on one side. The reinforcing strip extends longitudinally along the length of the substrate with one edge substantially aligned with, and preferably flush with, one longitudinal edge of the substrate and acts as a separate means to cut through a coating or film more efficiently than the masking tape alone, while subsequently leaving the masking tape in place until the preferred time of removal.
