    摘要: A method and apparatus for cleaning a perforated, transport belt has belt surface cleaner mechanisms that include a pair of moveable, consumable webs. A scrubbing of the belt by a wet web is followed by a scrubbing of the belt by a dry, absorbent web. A solvent dispensing mechanism can be fluidically coupled to re-soak the wet web. Mechanisms for selectively engaging and disengaging the belt surface cleaner mechanisms ensure free belt travel during flexible material transport and the cleaning of both surfaces during cleaning cycles. The system includes consumable piece-part elements for refurbishing and remanufacturing.

    摘要: An infrared detector has a multi-layer structure to simultaneously detect IR energy in different spectral bands without changing polarity of a bias imposed across the detector. Two absorption layers are separated by a barrier layer that imposes an electrical potential barrier to one of the absorption layers. Under low bias in one direction, only one layer generates a photocurrent. Under a higher bias in the same direction, both layers generate a photocurrent. Additional absorption layers may be added to detect additional bands of energy, where the additional absorption layers generate photocurrent under a bias in another direction. Two, three, and four band detection is disclosed. Where absorbing layers within a single unit cell absorb under different bias direction, the barrier layer between those different bias direction layers suppresses a diffusing electron current. A method for detecting and resolving energy absorbed in two, three, and four different energy bands is also provided.

    摘要: To provide an optical nanofiber resonator having an optical waveguide whose diameter is equal to or smaller than the wavelength of a propagation light, a light emitter disposed at a predetermined position of the optical waveguide, and a first reflector and a second reflector formed in the optical waveguide with the light emitter interposed therebetween, wherein at least one of the first reflector and the second reflector transmits a part of the propagation light. With such a configuration, the channeling efficiency of the light emitted from the light emitter and the propagation mode of the optical waveguide is dramatically improved.
