Abstract:
Roller actuating device for flattening machines used for metal products in the shape of sheet metal, strips or the like, also used with similar machines for other applications, comprising a device for transmitting motion to driven rolls (8), extremely functional and capable of transmitting higher torques as well as their independent control. Such device overcomes the frequent problems concerning the space available for installing gimbal adapters. This can be achieved by using adapters (4) provided with teeth which, with the same flange diameter, are able to provide higher torques, and in any case, can be used in any applications in which it is necessary to have reduced operating angles of the adapters.
Abstract:
Method to make housings for rolling stands and relative housings, the method providing to make each housing (10) by coupling and welding a pair of uprights (10a) and a pair of cross-pieces (10b) obtained individually as monolithic elements and welded together in correspondence with coupling surfaces, the welding involving at least part of the perimeter of each of the coupling surfaces and extending at least partly inside the thickness of the housing, and wherein it provides to achieve, in correspondence with each of the coupling surfaces of the uprights (10a) and the cross-pieces (10b), at least an inner cavity (11) made in the thickness of the housing (10), the inner cavities (11) being obtained by combining two semi-holes (111), or semi-cavities, open towards the outside and provided in mating positions on the respective surfaces, one of the upright (10a) and one of the cross-piece (10b), which are to be welded.
Abstract:
A zeroing system of a rolling stand which allows to replace the working cylinders or rolls in a four-high rolling stand for hot rolling strips and to subsequently zero the rolling stand without removing the strip from between the rolls themselves during the step of rolling. Furthermore, the system of the invention allows to very rapidly and accurately carry out the zeroing operation, thus increasing the productivity in the entire production system.
Abstract:
A roller guiding system for thin strips (20) at a rolling system outlet which allows a safe guiding without take-off and consequent tipping/folding of the head of the strip and without cobbles even at high feeding speeds. The system of the invention prevents the strip from impacting or sliding on the upper containment devices (8) or on the rollers (4′) by its upwards or downwards movement, thus avoiding possible damages to the surface, such as scratches or lines. Furthermore, such a guiding system acts on the mechanical-aerodynamic phenomenon which causes instability in the head moving by making a self-centering guiding system which is thus suitable for improving the winding quality of the coil itself.
Abstract:
Device (10) and method for winding/unwinding rolled products (20). The device (10) is interposed between a rolling unit located upstream (102) and a rolling unit located downstream (105). The device (10) comprises a heating furnace (11) and a support structure (16) disposed outside the heating furnace (11). On the support structure (16), substantially in a diametrically opposite position, two winding/unwinding drums (18a, 18b) are assembled, positioned inside the furnace (11). The support structure (16) is selectively rotating to alternatively dispose a first of the two drums (18a or 18b) in its winding position or in its unwinding position of a reel (29). A second of the two drums (18b or 18a) consequently assuming the opposite unwinding or winding position.

Abstract:
A rolling stand with a bending and shifting device for rolling rolls with two lower blocks fixed to the housing and carrying a lower chock, two upper blocks connected to an upper chock, a shifting device for the upper roll connected to the upper chock via a sliding coupling, a shifting device for the lower working roll connected to the lower chock via a sliding coupling. The lower chock is coupled to the blocks via a sliding coupling which allows the chock to be moved in a vertical direction to generate a bending of the lower roll via actuators. The two upper blocks are vertically coupled with the housing to allow the upper roll to be bent. The shifting movement of the upper roll is achieved via a sliding coupling between the upper chock and the two upper blocks, and may be carried out under load when rolling operations occur.

Abstract:
A flat metal aligning device (21) which allows the flat metal entering a rolling stand (22) of a rolling mill to be effectively aligned or centered, thus avoiding potential damages to the working rollers (2) while reducing the times to produce the rolled products. Moreover, the device according to the invention allows the rolling stand to be supplied with short slabs when they may not be fed by the motorized rollers at the stand inlet, precisely due to their short length.
Abstract:
A flat metal aligning device (21) which allows the flat metal entering a rolling stand (22) of a rolling mill to be effectively aligned or centered by using retractable pusher elements to control the alignment and feeding of metal work pieces into the rolling stand, thus avoiding potential damage to the working rollers (2) while reducing the times to produce the rolled products. Moreover, the device according to the invention allows the rolling stand to be supplied with short slabs when they may not be fed by the motorized rollers at the stand inlet, precisely due to their short length.
