    Abstract: The device includes a plurality of pixel control digit storage elements (1) each for association with a particular pixel of the display and functionally organized in the form of a two-dimensional array corresponding to the array of pixels of the display, interconnected with one another and with data and control signal input means (2, 3, 4) such that a pixel control digit, representing a given color or intensity say, entered into one "seed" element (i,j) automatically propagates through the device from one to another element until it reaches elements to which boundary indicative control signals are applied by way of said input means when propagation ceases. The boundary indicative control signals and the "seed" element may be derived from and chosen by an associated computer processor operating according to a conventional shape designing algorithm.

    Abstract: A system and method of authenticating a digital still image captured using a digital image capture device. To process the digital still image for later authentication, a signature data is transmitted from a remote location to the digital image capture device. Upon capturing the digital still image, an image identification is associated with the digital still image. The signature data is then applied to the captured digital still image to produce an authentication signature representative of the captured digital still image. The authentication signature is associated with the image identification and transmitted from the digital still image to the remote location for storage at the remote location. To verify the authenticity of the digital still image, the digital still image is transmitted to the remote location. The signature data for the transmitted digital still image is accessed and applied to the transmitted digital still image to produce a verification signature. The authentication signature and the verification signature are compared to determine the authentication of the transmitted digital still image. In an alternate embodiment, the signature data and image identification are sent to the image capture device to generate the verification signature, which is transmitted to the remote location for comparison with the authentication signature.

    Abstract: A pin and sleeve receptacle is mountable in a wall box recessed in a wall opening of a building with wires extending into the box from an in-wall wiring passage. The receptacle has a tubular electrically non-conductive shell closed at one end, the other end being open and a flange with fastener openings at the open end of the shell. A cylindrical inner body has an outer diameter smaller than the first inner diameter, the inner body having female connector sleeves for receiving electrically conductive pins of a mating plug. The inner body is mounted within the shell with an annular gap surrounding the inner body for receiving the shroud of the pin-and-sleeve plug. The opening at one end face the same direction as the open end of the shell to receive the pins of the plug. Apertures in the shell admit wires from the box for connection to the electrically conductive female connectors. An adapter plate has a central opening to receive the shell, holes to receive fasteners extending through the fastener openings in the flange and holes to permit passage of fasteners for mounting the plate across the opening of the recessed wall box. A cover plate has a central opening surrounding the open end of the shroud, openings for passage of fasteners for attaching the cover plate to the adapter plate with the flange in between, and sloping side edges for abutting the wall surrounding the box to form a minimally protruding assembly. A right-angle plug having pin connectors to mate with the receptacle to form a connector assembly with minimum protrusion from the wall is disclosed.
