Abstract:
The invention discloses a subscription which is made to receive request messages on one or more topics from a first broker. A subscription is made to receive all messages published at either the first or the second broker to a replyto topic including a bridge identifier. A request message is received from the first broker, the request message specifying a temporary replyto topic on which responses to the request should be published. The temporary reply to topic is modified to specify a bridge identifier. The modified request message is forwarded to a second broker. A response to the request is received from the second broker, the response being published on the replyto topic including the bridge identifier. The bridge receives the response as a result of the subscription to receive all messages published to a topic including the bridge identifier. The response is forwarded to the first broker.
Abstract:
A practical approach to real-time learning for synthetic characters grounded in the techniques of reinforcement learning and informed by insights from animal training. The approach simplifies the learning task for characters by (a) enabling them to take advantage of predictable regularities in their world, (b) allowing them to make maximal use of any supervisory signals, and (c) making them easy to train by humans. An autonomous animated dog is described that can be trained with a technique used to train real dogs called “clicker training.”
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for predicting the risk of a patient for developing adverse drug reactions, particularly Drug-Induced Liver Injury (DILI) or hepatotoxicity. The invention also provides a method of identifying a subject afflicted with, or at risk of, developing DILI. In some aspects, the methods comprise analyzing at least one genetic marker, wherein the presence of the at least one genetic marker indicates that the subject is afflicted with, or at risk of, developing DILI.
Abstract:
Provided herein are methods for identifying risk of breast cancer in a subject and/or a subject at risk of breast cancer, reagents and kits for carrying out the methods, methods for identifying candidate therapeutics for treating breast cancer, and therapeutic methods for treating breast cancer in a subject. These embodiments are based upon an analysis of polymorphic variations in nucleotide sequences within the human genome.
