    摘要: The invention relates to methods for use in a wavetable based sound synthesis, wherein a first processor stores wavetable data and wherein a second processor generates an output audio signal frame-by-frame based on samples of the wavetable data. One method comprises at the first processor selecting samples of the stored wavetable data, which are expected to be required at the most at the second processor for generating a next output audio frame. The selection is based on a model of a pitch-shift evolution during a single frame and on the number of samples which have been used so far by the second processor. The selected samples are made available to the second processor. Another method allows the second processor to make use of the provided samples. The invention relates equally to corresponding processors, to a corresponding wavetable based sound synthesis system, to a corresponding device and to corresponding software program products.

    摘要: An implant for deep brain stimulation (DBS) has an array of electromagnetic microcoils dispersed over the length of the implant. The microcoils produce magnetic fields that are directed into, and induce current in, the adjacent brain tissue. The microcoils may be selectively operated to direct and focus electrical stimulation to targeted areas of the brain. The implant is useful in studying or treating neurophysiological conditions associated with the deep regions of the brain such as Parkinson's disease, drug addiction, and depression.

    摘要: Sensor position indicator coils to be used in magnetoencephalographic experiments and a means of attaching them to the head. The invention comprises a headband (1) and a coil assembly attached to it. The coil assembly consists of a coil set (5) and of at least three fastening strips (6) or of fastening strips having coil sets of individual coils (5') on them. The mechanical properties of the coils are very important. The coil set (5) has three thin- or thick-film coils cast in epoxy resin. The outside surface of the headband (1) and the inside surfaces of the fastening strips (6) have been covered with materials adhering to each other easily. In addition, the underside of the coil set (5) can contain three small knobs, formed during casting, on which the coil set leans when pressed against the head, staying in the tangent plane of the head.

    摘要: A gaming device, method, and computer program product customize an electronic game using features of an image file, such as may be created by a digital camera or similar device. A gaming device comprises a processor capable of receiving an image file, extracting at least one feature from the received image file, and modifying the electronic game based on the extracted feature. The processor may modify the electronic game by adding a game object corresponding to the extracted feature. Alternatively, the processor may modify the electronic game by modifying a game object based on the extracted feature. The image file may be created by the gaming device or may be received from an external device. The extracted feature may be selected from the group comprising shape, size, location, orientation, color, and contrast. The processor may be further capable of preprocessing the image file.
