Abstract:
A method for coating an uncoated or precoated metallic or plastics substrate by (a) applying an aqueous coating composition (W) whose constituents are free or substantially free from blocked isocyanate groups, which comprises an aqueous dispersion of an epoxide-amine adduct, and which comprises either no crosslinking agent or one or more nonblocked polyisocyanate crosslinking agents, to the substrate, (b) optionally applying one or more further coating compositions, and (c) curing the coating composition (W) and, where appropriate, the further coating composition(s) at temperatures of below 90° C.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for the production of a multicoat finish, in which an aqueous basecoat is used which contains as binder a polymer which can be obtained by polymerizing in an organic solvent(A) ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of(B) a polyurethane resin containing polymerizable double bondsand converting the resultant reaction product to an aqueous dispersion.
Abstract:
The use of aqueous, physically curable, pseudoplastic or thixotropic, polyurethane-based coating materials as adhesion primers for coatings, and a process for coating uncoated plastics surfaces and old coatings by applying at least one coating material to the uncoated plastics surfaces or the old coatings and curing the resulting coating film(s), which comprises applying an aqueous, physically curable, pseudoplastic or thixotropic, polyurethane-based adhesion primer to the uncoated plastics surfaces or the old coatings and overcoating it with at least one further coating material.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for signal tracking utilizing a universal algorithm is disclosed. The method and apparatus generally include acquiring a signal measurement corresponding to a signal, forming a measurement matrix utilizing the acquired signal measurement, and applying the measurement matrix to a recursive filter to determine a geolocation of the signal. Such a configuration enables geolocations to be determined utilizing any signal measurement or combination of signal measurements to eliminate the need to rely on a particular static combination of signal measurements.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of polyurethane resins, in which, in an ester as solvent, a) at least one compound having 2 hydroxyl and/or amino groups, b) at least one di- and/or polyisocyanate, c) at least one compound containing 2 groups which are reactive toward isocyanate groups, these compounds containing, at least in part, at least one group capable of forming anions which is neutralized before or after incorporation of component (c) into the polyurethane molecule, and d) at least one compound having at least 3 hydroxyl and/or amino groups are used to prepare a polyurethane resin, preferably using components (a), (b) and (c) to prepare an intermediate which has terminal isocyanate groups and at least some of whose free isocyanate groups are subsequently reacted with component (d), characterized in that ethoxyethyl propionate is employed as solvent.
