    摘要: This invention relates to a composition comprising a particulate polymer dispersed in a continuous phase and a process for preparing the particulate polymer. The particulate polymer is characterized in that it is prepared by contacting a polyamine with a carbonyl-containing compound. The particulate polymer dispersions can be used for preparing reinforced polymer matrices, especially where the matrix comprises urethane and/or urea linkages.The invention allows for the preparation of a particulate polymer without using organic polyisocyanate.

    摘要: A RIM apparatus has a separate hydraulically actuated monomer dispensing system associated with one of at least two different fluid chemical monomers to be mixed and molded. Each system is connected with a separate hydraulic fluid delivery cylinder (one for each monomer) for receiving hydraulic fluid therefrom and is operable for dispensing the associated monomer to a RIM mixing head and mold at a rate proportional to the rate that said hydraulic fluid is delivered thereto from the connected delivery cylinder. Each delivery cylinder is supported at a preselected position with its axis spaced radially from a reference axis and at least one thereof is bodily adjustable radially with respect to said reference axis and to the axis of another delivery cylinder. Each delivery cylinder discharges hydraulic fluid at a rate proportional to the rate of movement of an associated piston therein. A power driven operator is engaged with each said associated piston for effecting said movement at a rate proportional to the distance between the axis of the associated delivery cxylinder and said reference axis. Valve means enables selective interconnection between the delivery cylinders and dispensing systems in various combinations.

    摘要: This invention relates to a solid particulate polymer comprising 1) a backbone containing (a) a plurality of moieties selected from the group consisting of alkylene, arylene, aralkylene, alkylarylene, cycloalkylene, alkyleneoxy, and polyalkyleneoxy; (b) a plurality of moieties selected from the group consisting of internal urea, thiourea, biuret and dithiobiuret; and 2) end groups selected from the group consisting of internal urea, thiourea, biuret and dithiobiuret.     摘要: Microcellular foamed or reaction injection molded polyurethane/polyurea elastomers are prepared by reacting an aliphatically bound polyisocyanate, a primary or secondary amine terminated polymer, and an aliphatic diamine chain extender represented by the formulas: ##STR1## wherein A is represented by the group ##STR2## each R, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently hydrogen or an alkyl group having from 1 to about 4 carbon atoms, x has a value from zero to about 4; y has a value of 1 or 2; z has a value of zero or 1; and when y is 2, z is zero and the sum of y and z is 2 and ##STR3## wherein R is H or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms and A and A' are NH.sub.2 or H with the provisos that in each ring either A or A' is NH.sub.2, not both and when A or A' is NH.sub.2 then the R attached to that carbon atom is H.
