The vacuum switch includes a fixed first arc contact and a second arc contact which can move in translation in an axial direction of the enclosure. The gas switch includes a fixed or quasi-fixed third arc contact and a fourth arc contact which can move in translation. The operating rod is connected to the fourth contact. The device also includes a connection arrangement for electrically connecting the second and third contacts and a displacement arrangement connected to the connection arrangement and to the rod which separates the second and fourth contacts from the first and third contacts, respectively.

    摘要: A circuit-breaker includes two contacts which are disposed in an interrupting space filled with a dielectric gas under pressure and between which an electric arc strikes during circuit-breaker opening, a thermal blast chamber communicating directly with the interrupting space, and a piston-driven compression chamber communicating with the thermal blast chamber. The piston-driven compression chamber communicates with the interrupting space via a discharge channel that is separate from the thermal blast chamber and that is closed by a discharge valve. The discharge valve is disposed between the thermal blast chamber and the piston-driven compression chamber in a manner such that the discharge valve opens to enable the gas under increased pressure in the piston-driven compression chamber to be discharged towards the interrupting space via the channel when the increase in the pressure of the gases in the thermal blast chamber is larger than the increase in the pressure of the gases in the piston-driven compression chamber.

    摘要: A circuit breaker which includes first arcing and permanent contacts that are mounted stationary inside an enclosure, second arcing and permanent contacts that are mounted to move inside the enclosure along a longitudinal direction and designed to co-operate with the first contacts, and a system for inserting a closure resistance, the second contacts forming a portion of equipment carrying a blast nozzle. The resistance insertion system comprises a semi-moving block which is disposed to be displaced in the longitudinal direction by the blast nozzle during a closure operation. The block carries a first switching contact designed to co-operate with a stationary second switching contact connected to the first stationary permanent contact. By displacement of the block, the first and second switching contacts are moved towards each other to short circuit the closure resistance while the first and second arcing contacts are in contact with each other and the first and second permanent contacts are separate from each other.

    摘要: An inertia contact designed to co-operate with a contact in series with a component, such as a resistor or a varistor, is disposed in the interrupting chamber of a circuit-breaker so as to be inserted in parallel with the contacts of the circuit-breaker for a limited period of time. The circuit-breaker includes a tube supporting moving contacts and connected to a drive rod. The inertia contact comprises a circularly-symmetrical metal casing coaxial with the tube and surrounding the tube. The casing is substantially tubular in shape with a projection flanked by two rings fitting snugly and slidably against the tube. A first end of the inertia contact is made of an alloy that is resistant to the effects of arcing. A second end of the inertia contact serves to fix the inertia contact to a first end of at least one spring. A second end of the spring is fixed to the tube. A band having a conical inside cross-section is disposed at one end of the cavity formed by the projection and the tube engages a domed collar fixed to the tube to damp the shock during relative motion of the inertia contact and the tube during contact therebetween as a result of circuit-breaker opening.
