When a power supply activating signal is inputted from an input terminal by depressing a main power supply switch of an electronic apparatus, electric power is supplied from a battery to a protection circuit portion and a management circuit portion through a pack power supply control circuit. Thus, the self discharge of the battery is reduced when a battery pack is not used. The protection circuit portion is operative to output a detection signal to the management circuit portion. Further, the management circuit portion posts a state of the battery to the electronic apparatus. The protection circuit portion is not controlled by the management circuit portion. Thus, even when a bug or a runaway occurs in MCU circuit of the management circuit portion, the battery can be safely protected.
Abstract:
A skew error correction device for a video signal in a television receiver or the like is disclosed. An oscillator produces an oscillation output signal of a constant frequency which is phase-synchronized with horizontal synchronization information included in an input video signal, and the output signal is used as a write clock. In a vertical blanking period, the oscillation output signal or a frequency-divided signal thereof is phase-compared with an output of a reference signal generator of a predetermined frequency or a frequency-divided signal thereof, and a phase error signal is negatively fed back to voltage control means which voltage-controls the oscillation frequency of the oscillator. Thus, the oscillation frequency is stabilized without using an AFC circuit and a skew error in the input video signal is eliminated.

The control part detects periods of a horizontal synchronization signal and vertical synchronization signal which are in synchronization with the input image signal, determines a magnification for an image to be output, from a horizontal synchronization interval and a vertical synchronization interval of the image to be output, and the periods of the horizontal synchronization signal and vertical synchronization signal which are in synchronization with the input image signal; and controls the timing of reading the image data from said storing part according to the thus-determined magnification.

A method and apparatus for sampling and processing a video signal having a time base fluctuation with sampling clock pulses produced from an oscillator which is instantaneously phase-synchronized with synchronizing information of the video signal. The synchronizing information is separated from the video signal by a separator and the oscillator is controlled to at least one of start and stop oscillation in accordance with the synchronizing information.
