An electrochromic mirror device suitable for use in a vehicle comprises a first transparent substrate having a transparent conductive layer on a surface thereof and a second substrate having a conductive layer on a surface thereof. The conductive layer of the first substrate opposes the second conductive layer of the second substrate in a spaced-apart relationship thereby forming an interpane distance between the substrates. A boundary seal is interposed between the first and second substrates spacing apart the substrates and forming a cavity wherein the interpane distance is at least about 10 microns. An electrochromic cross-linked polymeric solid film is disposed within the cavity. The electrochromic cross-linked solid polymeric film is formed from an electrochromic monomer composition that includes at least one cathodic electrochromic compound. The second conductive layer comprises a metallic reflective layer.

Methods, systems, and computer program products for removing undesired artifacts in Fourier domain optical coherence tomography (FDOCT) systems using integrating buckets are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method includes introducing a variable phase delay between a reference arm and a sample arm of an FDOCT interferometer using sinusoidal phase modulation. Further, the method includes acquiring an interferometric intensity signal using an integrating buckets technique. The method also includes resolving the interferometric intensity signal to remove undesired artifacts.

In accordance with this disclosure, methods, systems, and computer readable media for synthetic wavelength-based phase unwrapping in optical coherence tomography are provided. Synthetic wavelength phase unwrapping can be applied to OCT data and can correctly resolve sample motions that are larger than λo/2. A method for phase unwrapping of an OCT signal can include acquiring raw OCT signal data, interpolating and processing the OCT signal data to obtain a DC spectrum, comparing the raw OCT signal data to the DC spectrum to generate an interference signal, applying Gaussian windows to the interference signal to generate a two separate signals, extracting phase information from the two signals, and comparing the phase information of the two signals to produce unwrapped phase data. A value of 2π can be added to the phase data if the difference between the phase information of the two signals is less than zero.

Methods and computer program products for quantitative three-dimensional (“3D”) image correction in optical coherence tomography. Using the methods and computer program products, index interface (refracting) surfaces from the raw optical coherence tomography (“OCT”) dataset from an OCT system can be segmented. Normal vectors or partial derivatives of the curvature at a refracting surface can be calculated to obtain a refracted image voxel. A new position of each desired refracted image voxel can be iteratively computed. New refracted corrected voxel positions to an even sampling grid can be interpolated to provide corrected image data. In some embodiments, clinical outputs from the corrected image data can be computed.

An exterior electrochromic reflective mirror element for a vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly comprises an electrochromic cross-linked polymeric solid film disposed between a first substrate and a second substrate. The electrochromic cross-linked polymeric solid film contacts a transparent conductive layer of the first substrate and a conductive layer comprising a metallic reflective layer of the second substrate. A visual indicator display is disposed to the rear of said second substrate and is part of a blind spot detection and display system and is actuated to emit light responsive to a detection of another overtaking vehicle in a side lane. Light emitted by the visual indicator display passes through the second substrate, through the electrochromic cross-linked polymeric solid film and through the first substrate to be viewed by a driver of the vehicle equipped with the exterior electochromic reflective mirror element.
