    摘要: An image forming device is capable of making data communication with at least one printing device through a network. The image forming device comprises: a print job acquiring part for acquiring a print job created in response to user's instructions for printing; an image forming part for producing a printed output by executing the print job; an event detecting part for detecting occurrence of an event; and a print preview processing part for acquiring a first print preview image showing a printed output to be produced when the print job is executed in the image forming part, and a second print preview image showing a printed output to be produced when the print job is executed in the at least one printing device, and for outputting the first and second print preview images. The print preview processing part acquires and outputs the first and second print preview images when the event detecting part detects occurrence of the event.

The method of recording an image while a plurality of long recording sheets are selectively being fed to a recording section, comprising the steps of specifying a desired one of the plurality of recording sheets; and locating the leading edge of the desired one at a ready state at a position which is downstream with respect to a recording position of the recording section in the direction in which the recording sheet is fed. The apparatus is arranged such that image recording is performed in accordance with image information while a recording sheet unwound from one of first and second sheet rolls is being fed to a recording section including a recording head. One of the first and second recording sheets is set to a predetermined position in the recording section, after recording onto the recording sheet is completed.

    摘要: A disc drive is constructed from a main body which includes a mechanism unit having a disc rotating mechanism for rotating a disc and a play back mechanism for playing back information recorded on the disc, disc tray movably provided with respect to the main body for supporting a disc and a casing for housing the main body. The disc drive is provided with vibration absorbing members for suppressing transmission of vibration caused by high speed rotation of the disc from the main body to the casing. The vibration absorbing members are formed of elastical members and they are arranged between the side portions of the main body and the inside of the casing, thereby the main body is supported by the casing through the vibration absorbing members to prevent vibrations caused in the main body from being transmitted to the casing. Further, the casing has a U-shaped side plate and a top plate fixed to the side plate by screws, in which the top plate is in point contact with the side plate through a plurality of protrusions formed on upper edges of the side plate. This point contact between the top plate and the side plate makes it possible to prevent rattling from being caused by the transmitted vibrations, thereby preventing generation of noise.

    摘要: The process for preparing anilines by reaction of phenols with an amination agent in accordance with the present invention is disclosed, which process is characterized by carrying out the reaction of phenols with an amination agent in the presence of a low alkali and weakly acidic alumina catalyst having the alkali oxide content of less than 0.5% by weight, said alumina catalyst being obtained by firing an alumina catalyst containing in a dry state more than 80% by weight of alumina and less than 20% by weight of silica at a temperature of 600.degree.-900.degree. C., followed by acid treatment. According to the present invention, there are obtained such excellent effects that even when the reaction is carried out at a temperature lower than those employed in the case of conventionally well-known catalysts, the desired anilines can be prepared in high yields and high selectivity and, moreover, a high catalyst activity can be maintained over a long period of time.The alumina catalyst used in the present invention is characterized by having the alkali metal oxide content of less than 0.5% by weight and pKa of from -3.0 to +6.8 as measured by Hammett's indicator, and containing in a dry state more than 80% by weight of alumina and less than 20% by weight of silica, and this catalyst is prepared by firing an alumina catalyst containing in a dry state more than 80% by weight of alumina and less than 20% by weight of silica at a temperature of 600.degree.-900.degree. C., followed by acid treatment.

    摘要: A recording apparatus adapted to accommodate first and second recording sheets rolled into rolls, selectively convey one of the first and second recording sheets to a recording section having a recording head, and record an image in accordance with image information on the selected recording sheet. The apparatus is capable of initializing the positions of the leading ends of the recording sheets in such a manner that they are positioned at a predetermined stand-by position. The apparatus may be adapted to display a message requesting the initialization after a cover over the recording sheets has been closed. Alternatively, the apparatus may have sensors for detecting the recording sheets and may be adapted to perform the initialization on the basis of the outputs of the sensors by cutting portions of the recording sheets at the leading ends thereof alternately. The apparatus may also have a register for storing data on a power supply turned-off condition, a cover-opening condition, or a condition in which a recording operation is stopped during recording, and may be adapted to perform the initialization when data on one of the conditions is stored at the start of a recording operation and erase the stored data after the initialization.
