    摘要: A modified olefinic polymer is obtained by fluorinating an ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer having the following properties (i) to (iv), said ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer being prepared by copolymerizing ethylene and an .alpha.-olefin having 3 to 12 carbon atoms in the presence of a catalyst comprising a solid catalyst component and an organoaluminum compound, said solid catalyst component containing at least magnesium and titanium:(i) Melt index: 0.01-100 g/10 min(ii) Density: 0.860-0.910 g.cm.sup.3(iii) Maximum peak temperature (Tm) as measured according to a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) should be not lower than 100.degree. C.(iv) Insolubles in boiling n-hexane should be not less than 10% by weight.

    摘要: A method for generating magnetostrictive vibration which comprises:Providing a vibrator element comprising a sintered structure of magnetite having an oxygen/iron (O/Fe) atomic ratio within the range of 4.0/3 to 4.1/3, a specific resistance of not lower than 0.1 ohm cm, and a positive static magnetostriction and containing in its sintered state at least one additive element selected from the group consisting of cobalt, calcium, titanium, silicon, boron, and sodium; andApplying an alternative magnetic field to the vibrator element.There is also provided an improved magnetostrictive vibrator element for use in the above method, which comprises:The above-mentioned sintered structure, andFixing means for applying a compressing force of 30 to 1800 Kg/cm.sup.2 to opposite ends of the sintered structure in the direction of the principal vibration thereof.

    摘要: By pouring a solution containing hydrolyzable tin and antimony salts into an aqueous dispersion of titanium oxide particles and mixing, the salts are caused to hydrolyze, whereby a uniform and strongly adherent coating layer of antimony-containing tin oxide is formed on the surface of each particle of the titanium oxide. The coated powder thus obtained is non-hygroscopic and non-toxic and exhibits stable electroconductivity. Furthermore, since it can possess excellent whiteness, it is suitable for forming the electroconductive layers of electro-thermosensitive papers and electrostatic recording papers, for use as the antistatic agent of resins, and for other uses.
