摘要: A modified olefinic polymer is obtained by fluorinating an ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer having the following properties (i) to (iv), said ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer being prepared by copolymerizing ethylene and an .alpha.-olefin having 3 to 12 carbon atoms in the presence of a catalyst comprising a solid catalyst component and an organoaluminum compound, said solid catalyst component containing at least magnesium and titanium:(i) Melt index: 0.01-100 g/10 min(ii) Density: 0.860-0.910 g.cm.sup.3(iii) Maximum peak temperature (Tm) as measured according to a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) should be not lower than 100.degree. C.(iv) Insolubles in boiling n-hexane should be not less than 10% by weight.

摘要: A process for producing polyethylene of ultrahigh molecular weight having an intrinsic viscosity of 10-30 dl/g at 135.degree. C. in decalin is disclosed which comprises at least the following two stages of polymerization reaction: (a) a first reaction stage where in ethylene is polymerized with use of a catalyst comprising a solid component containing at least Mg, Ti and/or Va and in the absence or presence of hydrogen of reduced concentration to produce 70-99.5 weight parts of polyethylene having an intrinsic viscosity of 12-32 dl/g at 135.degree. C. in decalin; and (b) a second reaction stage wherein a fresh feed of ethylene is polymerized in the presence of hydrogen of higher concentration to produce 30-0.5 weight parts of polyethylene having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.1-5 dl/g at 135.degree. C. in decalin.

摘要: A catalyst for polymerization of olefins is disclosed which comprises a titanium and/or vanadium compound supported on a silicon and/or aluminum oxide carrier. This carrier has peculiar characteristics including a specified proportion of highly spherical oxide particles, a selected average pore size and a specified proportion of a selected particle size range before and after ultrasonic treatment, whereby there is obtained a catalyst having increased bulk density, narrow particle size distribution and high fluidity.

摘要: The present invention provides an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene solution which is produced by the steps of subjecting a kerosene fraction having a boiling point of 160.degree. to 300.degree. C. to a nucleus hydrogenation treatment at a pressure of 30 to 100 kg/cm.sup.2 at a temperature of 100.degree. to 300.degree. C. in the presence of a metallic catalyst for nucleus hydrogenation of aromatic nuclei; separating and removing at least a part of n-paraffins present in the kerosene therefrom by the use of a molecular sieve made up of a synthesized zeolite in order to obtain a residual oil; fractionating the latter by a rectification apparatus to obtain a hydrocarbon mixture fraction which has a boiling point of 180.degree. to 250.degree. C. and which is substantially free from naphthalene and biphenyl; and dissolving, in the hydrocarbon mixture fraction, an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene having an intrinsic viscosity of 8 or more in decalin at 135.degree. C.

摘要: A process for the production of polyolefins is provided which comprises polymerizing or copolymerizing olefins in the presence of a catalyst composition which includes a catalyst component (I) resulting from mutual contact of sub-components (A) and (B), and a catalyst component (II). Sub-component (A) is of the formulaR.sup.1.sub.p Me.sup.1 X.sup.1.sub.4-p and/or R.sup.1.sub.2 Me.sup.1 X.sup.1'and sub-component (B) is a modified organoaluminum compound having Al--O--Al bonds. Catalyst component (II) is an admixture of sub-component (C), which is a transition metal elemental compound of Groups VII-VIII, and one or more of triethylaluminum, triisobutylaluminum, diethyl zinc, n-butyllithium, and butylmagnesiumchloride. The catalyst components (I) and/or (II) are contacted with a carrier during or after the preparation of the components (I) and/or (II).

摘要: An effective catalyst carrier for use in the polymerization of olefins is provided.Said carrier comprises particles of silicon oxide or aluminum oxide satisfying the following characteristics (A) to (E):(A) An average particle diameter as measured by the sieving method is in the range of 20 to 150 .mu.m.(B) A specific surface area as measured by the BET method is in the range of 150 to 600 m.sup.2 /g.(C) The volume of pores ranging in pore radius from 18 to 1,000 Angstroms as measured by the mercury penetration method is in the range of 0.3 to 2.0 cm.sup.3 /g.(D) An apparent specific gravity as measured according to JIS K6220-6.8 is not lower than 0.32.(E) After the particles classified in the range of between 53 .mu.m and 75 .mu.m by the sieving method have been subjected to an ultrasonic disintegration treatment at 40 KHz, 35 W, for 20 minutes, the proportion of 50 .mu.m or smaller particles, i.e., degree of ultrasonic disintegration, is not more than 30%.

摘要: A process for producing a polyethylene material for use in products requiring high mechanical strength and high elastic modulus is disclosed. The process involves the use of a specific class of particulate polyethylenes having an intrinsic viscosity of 5-50 dl/g in decalin at 135.degree. C. and the steps of compression molding, solvent immersing, solid-phase extruding or rolling and finally drawing the material in that order.
