摘要: A method for manufacturing a doped electrode may use an active metal layer doped with an alkali metal. A strip-shaped electrode may including an active material layer may be conveyed along a path that passes through a doping tank that stores a doping solution containing ions of an alkali metal and an aprotic organic solvent, a counter electrode unit, and a guide mechanism. In the doping tank, a distance between the electrode and the counter electrode unit may be maintained in a fixed range by the guide mechanism disposed between the electrode and the counter electrode unit. In the doping tank, the electrode and the counter electrode unit may be electrically connected via the doping solution.

摘要: A main object of the present disclosure is to provide an anode material that is used in a fluoride ion battery of a car and can prevent the decrease in operating voltage while inhibiting occurrence of short circuit. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a car including a fluoride ion battery, wherein the fluoride ion battery comprises a cathode layer, an anode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer formed between the cathode layer and the anode layer. The anode layer contains an anode material comprising a Mg metal powder and a fluoride ion conductive material comprised of Ca1-xBaxF2 in which x satisfies 0.5≤x≤0.60.

摘要: An anode in an electrochemical cell includes an anode active material comprising sodium and a solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer disposed on the anode active material. The SEI layer includes reduction products of an electrolyte solvent and is free of degradation products derived from dissolved anions of an electrolyte salt. The electrolyte solvent and the electrolyte salt are present in an electrolyte of the electrochemical cell. The SEI layer does not include a fluorine content greater than 5 wt. %.

摘要: Disclosed are a system and methods for preventing dendrite growth in an electrochemical cell through the use of a protective layer. The electrochemical cell may comprise an anode, a cathode, an electrolyte, and a protective layer, wherein the protective layer is capable of producing a voltage. The voltage produced can selectively shield metal ions from certain regions of the protective layer. This shielding can result in a more uniform flux of metal ions being transferred across the electrode-electrolyte interface in subsequent electrodeposition and electrodissolution processes. As a result, an electrode with such a protective layer can exhibit improved performance and durability, including markedly lower overpotentials and largely improved metal (e.g., lithium) retention.

摘要: A depositing arrangement for evaporation of a material is disclosed herein. The depositing arrangement has an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal for deposition of the material on a substrate. The deposition arrangement has a first chamber configured for liquefying the material; a valve being in fluid communication with the first chamber, and being downstream of the first chamber, wherein the valve is configured for control of the flow rate of the liquefied material through the valve. The deposition arrangement has an evaporation zone being in fluid communication with the valve, and being downstream of the valve, wherein the evaporation zone is configured for vaporizing the liquefied material; a heating unit to heat the material to higher temperatures before providing the liquid material in the evaporation zone; and one or more outlets for directing the vaporized material towards the substrate.
