摘要: This invention relates to a method an apparatus for measuring traffic flows or in other words, the flows of vehicles, inside and near a crossing, and is directed to provide method and apparatus capable of extracting vehicles with a high level of accuracy.Overlap of vehicles can be avoided by setting the field of a camera not to a range from the inflow portion to the vicinity of center of the crossing, but to a range from the center to the vicinity of the outflow portion (151) of the crossing. Accordingly, accuracy of traffic flow measurement can be improved.

摘要: A graphic processor comprises an input device for inputting a command from an operator, a display device for displaying graphic data and a computer for preparing and correcting graphic data by a command input from the operator and for making display control of the display device. When the operator wants to know the content of the command that is executed, he instructs the command to the computer. A command name, a processing content and a figure as an object of processing are calculated from history data instructed from the computer. The figure as the object of processing, the command processing content and the relation of correspondence are symbolized and displayed on the display device. Furthermore, a parametric figure is also displayed visually on the display device.

摘要: An apparatus and method for processing information of a drawing comprises steps of defining figure data representing figures, respectively, included in a drawing, preparing a plurality of regions called as field block memory regions for storing the figure data so that they can be selectively read out for edition of a drawing later on, and determining a usable range in each of the field block memories in accordance with the number of the figures included in the drawing. In a preferred mode, the method further includes steps of dividing the drawing into congruent rectangles called as buckets in a number determined in accordance with the number of the figures included in the drawing, allocating the abovementioned field block memory regions to the buckets, respectively, and storing the figure data in the memory region allocated to the bucket to which the associated figure belongs.

摘要: A road traffic control method is provided which can continue to maximize the number of vehicles allowed to run on a road and shorten time required for a vehicle to reach a destination, by preventing and relieving congestion. The method controls traffic of vehicles running on each of a plurality of parallel running roads. Each road is made connected at an interval of a predetermined distance, and at least one of the plurality of roads has a plurality of lanes. The method includes the steps of: detecting traffic of vehicles running in two counter directions on each road, at a position before at least one connected point of each of the plurality of roads; and changing ratio between the numbers of lanes of at least one of the plurality of roads, in accordance with the detected traffic of vehicles running in the two counter directions.

摘要: A three-dimensional shape of an object is recognized by developing enveloping surfaces of the object by a cone-silhouetting method, wherein the object is picked up by a binocular three-dimensional vision method by making use of geometrical restraint conditions derived by the cone-silhouetting method. The binocular parallax is increased to thereby ensure the recognition of the three-dimensional shape with improved accuracy. Local concave portions which can not be recognized by the cone-silhouetting method by itself are recognized with higher accuracy.

摘要: A production system for an expert system comprising: a production rule memory unit storing circuit conversion rules, each having a condition part describing circuit connection and an execution part describing a conversion of the condition part to an equivalent logic circuit dependent upon a predetermined semiconductor technology and further having a provisionally predetermined priority; a task data memory unit storing circuit connection data, each being subjected to an application of the circuit conversion rules; a production rule interpretation and execution unit for selecting a circuit conversion rule in accordance with the provisionally predetermined priority, collating the condition part of the selected circuit conversion rule with the circuit connection data to determine whether the condition part matches with a part of the circuit connection data and, when the both match each other, converting the part of the circuit connection data by the corresponding execution part of the circuit conversion rule to an equivalent logic circuit; further each production rule being provided with a rule flag indicating the collation failure to the circuit connection data, a rule flag memory unit for setting the rule, flag of the circuit conversion rule of which condition part did not match with any of the circuit connection data during the collation cycle, so as to inhibit collation thereafter until collation of all other circuit conversion rules is once completed, thereby increasing the operation speed of the production system for an expert system.

摘要: In a plant control system, a transmission channel includes loop transmission lines arranged in duplex. Equivalently connected to this transmission channel are a plurality of one-loop controller stations, a backup station backing up a disabled one of the plural controller stations and a display station for displaying the status of the controller stations and the backup station. Each of the controller stations, backup station and display station includes a built-in microcomputer. Each of these stations includes also a transmission interface circuit and a self-diagnostic circuit. The transmission interface circuit in each station selects one of the transmission lines for data transmission between its own station and the others. The self-diagnostic circuit in each station detects the presence of failure of normal operation of its own station and disconnects the disabled station from the transmission line, so that the other stations may not be adversely affected by the disabled station.
