    摘要: A camera includes a lens unit and an imaging unit. The optical axis of the camera is defined as a reference line, and a central line of a shooting area including an object to be shot is defined as an imaging centerline. A shift lens is moved to a shift-lens position which corresponds to the count of pulses supplied to a servomotor of a pan/tilter, so that an object image travels along an optical path generated by the shift lens is incident on another lens, and is then incident on the imaging unit. Accordingly, the object image incident on the imaging unit does not change while the shift lens is moved.

Addresses for the subtitle to be played back during the trick playback mode are stored on a record medium reserved for addresses. A computer-readable memory directs a computer to retrieve these addresses and locate subtitles to be displayed during the trick playback mode on the record medium. The subtitles are searched by decoding and displaying the subtitles located at the addresses on the record medium to be displayed during the trick playback mode.

The intake system includes an intake manifold connected to the cylinder head via a mounting flange such that a passage through the manifold is aligned with an intake passage through the cylinder head. The exhaust system includes an exhaust manifold connected to the cylinder head via a mounting flange such that an exhaust passage leading through the cylinder head is aligned with a passage through the exhaust manifold. The recirculation system includes a recirculation passage extending from the passage through the exhaust manifold through the flange thereof, through the cylinder head and then through the flange of the intake manifold into the passage thereof.

    摘要: A signal reproducing system for use in an optical disc player comprises a photodetector including at least first and second photodetecting elements which are so disposed that a beam spot is formed on the first and second photodetecting elements by a light beam caused to impinge upon and reflected at an optical record disc and are aligned along a direction of movement of a diffraction pattern appearing in the beam spot in accordance with a record track on the optical record disc, a phase shifter for varying at least a phase of one of first and second output signals obtained respectively based on detection outputs of the first and second photodetecting elements, a switch for causing the first and second output signals selectively to pass through the phase shifter in response to a direction of movement of the record track in relation to the light beam incident upon the optical record disc, and a mixer operative to add one of the first and second output signals derived from the phase shifter to the other of the first and second output signals so as to produce a reproduced information signal.

    摘要: The present technique relates to a display device and method, and a program for presenting high-quality stereoscopic images in a simpler manner.A display unit is a four-viewpoint display device having a parallax barrier. On the display unit, block regions that are formed with pixels of channels CH0 through CH3 aligned in the parallax direction are aligned in the parallax direction. An allocation control unit allocates a parallax image for the left eye or a parallax image for the right eye to the pixels of each channel in block regions, in accordance with the viewpoint position of the user. For example, the same parallax image is allocated to pixels of two different channels adjacent to each other in the parallax direction. A generating unit generates a combined image by combining the parallax image for the right eye and the parallax image for the left eye in accordance with the allocation performed by the allocation control unit, and causes the display unit to stereoscopically display the combined image. The present invention can be applied to display devices.
