If manual unlocked operation is selected, the method further comprises the steps of selecting local or remote operation. If local operation is selected, the stored energy circuit breaker actuation apparatus may be used by depressing a local ON switch and to turn off the circuit breaker assembly by depressing a local OFF switch and operating an operator handle. If remote operation is selected, the circuit breaker assembly may not be turned on or off. If manual locked operation is selected, the method comprises the further steps of selecting local or remote operation. The stored energy assembly may not be used to turn the circuit breaker assembly on or off either remotely or locally. If automatic operation is selected, the method comprises the further steps of selecting local or remote operation. If local operation is selected, the stored energy assembly may not be used to turn on the circuit breaker assembly; however, the stored energy assembly may be used to turn off a circuit breaker assembly by operating an operator handle on the stored energy assembly. If remote operation is selected, a remote ON button is used to cause the stored energy assembly to turn on the circuit breaker assembly. A remote OFF button is used to cause the stored energy assembly to turn off the circuit breaker assembly.

    摘要: A U-shaped heater unit is surrounded by a U-shaped bimetal, the legs of which move in response to temperature variations. The motion of the bimetal is conveyed through a wall by a slidable pin which acts to rotate an L-shaped compensator element. This rotation lifts a link element which operates a switch when the trip point is reached. A reset mechanism includes a plunger which when manually depressed rotates a reset arm first in one direction to reset the switch after it has been tripped and then in the opposite direction to a neutral station in which it will not reset the switch. The reset mechanism thus cannot be defeated by jamming the plunger in its fully depressed position.

    摘要: An improved PTC current limiting composition has been provided which comprises a chemically cross-linked thermosetting polyester resin and conductive particles dispersed in the resin. The thermosetting polyester resin is selected from the group consisting of polyethylene glycol fumarate, polypropylene glycol adipate fumarate, neopentyl glycol isophthalate fumarate, and neopentyl glycol phthalate fumarate. The conductive additive particles are selected from the group consisting of graphite and/or carbon black. The composition exhibits PTC behavior when cross-linked by a vinyl monomer selected from the group consisting of styrene, vinyl toluene and tertiary butyl styrene. Curing proceeds by free-radical addition across double bonds of the thermosetting polyester resin and is initiated by organic peroxides. Initial gelation which causes cross-linking but not final curing takes about 0.5 to 4 hours at a temperature of about 25.degree. C. to 125.degree. C. The final cure takes about 0.5 to 8 hours at a temperature of about 100.degree. C. to 160.degree. C. An effective amount of alumina trihydrate can be added to the current limiting composition to prevent dielectric breakdown, arcing and carbon tracking under high voltage conditions.It is respectfully submitted that the MPEP 608.01(b) states that abstracts should be between 50 and 250 words and up to 25 lines.
