Abstract:
Disclosed is a process to produce a hypophosphite salt defined as [C+ hypophosphite−] by reacting P4 with a hydroxide salt defined as [C+OH−], or a hydroxide salt precursor and a catalyst, wherein C+ is the cationic moiety of [C+ hypophosphite−] salt.
Abstract:
A polyester soil-release polymer (a) and a cosurfactant (b) are used in a laundry composition to improve primary detergency, secondary detergency, and/or soil anti-redeposition and/or to allow a reduction of the amount of surfactant(s) and/or builder(s). Also disclosed is a performance additive comprising at least 20% by weight as actives, of a mixture of (a), (b) and optionally water or other products, in an amount by weight if present of lower than 80%, and the performance additive is mixed with other ingredients to make a laundry composition.
Abstract:
The invention relates to novel dendritic polymers having monophosphonic terminations or dimethyl phosphonates, to a method for preparing them, and to their uses.
Abstract:
A process for the preparation of a brominated compound which comprises the step of reacting at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a chloroformate, a chlorosulfite and a chlorophosphite with a brominating agent for a time sufficient to obtain at least one brominated compound. In particular, an alcohol is converted into a chloroformate, chlorosulfite or a chlorophosphite, which is then brominated to obtain the desired product. In another embodiment, a brominating agent is reacted with a reactant selected from the group consisting of thionyl chloride, phosgene and phosphorous oxychloride, followed by contacting the reaction product obtained with an alcohol to be brominated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system comprising: a lock (10) provided with electronic circuits for transmission/reception via NFC and electric circuits for controlling mechanical locking/unlocking members, and a mobile phone (16) provided with circuits allowing same to operate in NFC mode. In addition, means are provided for transmitting power to the lock by means of remote power feeding (18) from the phone, such as to charge a buffer capacitor in order subsequently to provide power temporarily to the electronic and electric circuits of the lock while the lock is querying the NFC circuits of the phone in order to check the authorization of the person with the phone and to order to opening of the door.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of carboxylic acids from unsaturated fatty acids and/or their derivatives. The process of the invention is characterized in that it comprises the following stages:a stage which consists in oxidizing an unsaturated fatty acid in the form of acid and/or of ester using hydrogen peroxide, in the presence of a metal oxide or of a carboxylic acid optionally used in combination with a ruthenium-based catalyst,a stage which consists in reacting the reaction mixture originating from the preceding stage with nitric acid in the presence of a vanadium-based catalyst, optionally used in combination with a cocatalyst, and thena stage of recovery of the mono- and dicarboxylic acids. It is particularly well suited for the preparation of saturated mono- and dicarboxylic acids obtained from unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid or from oils and fats.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel cyclic sulphates of (poly)glycerol, particularly to the novel compound of 4-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3,2-dioxathiolane-2,2-dioxide. The present invention also relates to the preparation process of the cyclic sulphate compounds, and to the use thereof as an intermediate to prepare green surfactants containing sulphate groups.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system including a lock (10) provided with electronic NFC transceiver circuits and electric circuits for controlling mechanical locking/unlocking members, and a portable telephone (16) provided with circuits for NFC mode of operation. The telephone comprises means for initializing the lock, said means including means for: downloading, from a remote site (20), an applet and elements required for initializing the lock; verifying, using the telephone, the identifier and the transport key stored in the lock against the downloaded ones; deactivating the transport key of the lock; loading, onto the lock, a unique random algorithm and a cryptographic key that have been downloaded; and generating a message notifying of the termination of the initialization of the lock.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods of improving germination rates of plants or crops, and of preventing or arresting water evaporation loss from targeted soil areas by use of soil additives, which allow for improved water utilization by crops, plants, grasses, vegetation, etc.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system implements a mobile phone (20) available to a user (18) authorized to open a lock (22). A remote management site (10) includes a database (12) of locks and authorized users identified by the mobile phone number thereof, as well as a generator (14) of accreditation data. The accreditations are encrypted acoustic accreditations in the form of single-use audio signals, capable of enabling the opening of locks that are indexed in the database. The system includes means for securely transmitting the encrypted acoustic accreditations from the management site to the mobile phone of the corresponding authorized user via a mobile network operator (16). The lock (22) includes an electroacoustic transducer that is capable of sensing the acoustic accreditations reproduced by the telephone placed beforehand near the lock, as well as a means for recognizing, analyzing, and authenticating the sensed acoustic accreditations, and controlling the unlocking of the mechanical members upon recognizing a compliant accreditation.
