摘要： A new holder for holding a light source, especially a hand held light source, to a structure. The inventive device includes a frame having a holding portion and a pair of spaced apart arm portions which are pivotally coupled to a mounting frame. The holding portion is generally annular and has a pair of opposing ends defining a break between them. Each of the arm portions are each extended from an associated end of said holding portion. The terminal ends of the arm portions are pivotally coupled to the mounting plate which is designed for mounting to a structure. The holding portion is biased in a direction towards the mounting plate.

摘要： A vehicle for transport, fork lift or delivery route operations, for example, includes on-board peripherals which are coupled through a Local Area Network (LAN) into a data system. A LAN data bus provides selective access to the peripherals or data devices such as, for example, a large area display, a keyboard, a printer and a data terminal. The data system controls or provides data on tasks executed by or in connection with the operation of the vehicle. To increase the versatility of the vehicle, the data terminal, multiple data terminals, or any of the other data devices may be removably coupled to the LAN to be operable externally of the vehicle. A mobile mount adapter provides a secure electrical connection of a respective data terminal to the LAN to removably incorporate the data terminal into the data system, and provide a common supply of both data and power to the data device.

摘要： Data collection apparatus includes an assemblage of a data collection terminal and a carrying case which is a combination of a printer module and a docking module which are joined and combined into a unitary structure. The carrying case has an attached handle which is preferably attached to the printer module. The carrying case further includes a holder for temporarily grasping an data collection accessory, such as a bar code scanner. The data terminal is quickly insertible and removable from the docking module. Communication connectors and communication wiring becomes coupled to the data collection terminal upon insertion of the data collection terminal into the docking module. If the data collection terminal is equipped with a scanner device attached by cable to the data collection terminal, the scanner device may temporarily be stored in the holder, such that the data collection terminal, including such a scanner, and a printer within the printer module can be ported at a single unit between various use points. The data collection terminal including the scanner may be operated while disposed within the docking module of the carrying case. As an assemblage with the apparatus, a support structure in form of a formed tray includes provisions for attachment to a shopping cart. The tray also includes a support frame about a cavity of the tray. The carrying case may be placed into the support frame such that the data collection terminal may be operated from within the docking module of the carrying case while the carrying case is supported by the tray within a shopping cart.

摘要： In an exemplary embodiment, a portable data device is insertable into a docking receptacle for communication with other devices. In route delivery operations and the like, a hand-held computerized data terminal is coupled with a docking unit for recharging of its batteries and communication e.g. with a printer. Preferably, the terminal can be loaded into the docking receptacle with a single motion. The terminal may be automatically positively locked in the receptacle as it is loaded with one hand; thus the terminal may be securely held in the receptacle of a portable printer even if the printer is dropped or subjected to a severe jolt. Removal may be accomplished by a push button-eject or by a single motion with one hand. The disclosure includes various docking configurations which may have non-critical alignment requirements, provide electrical contacts sealed against moisture, and economically accommodate different size terminals and the like. Programmed control of the printer-terminal system provides for feedback from the printer to a primary controller to confirm that each line of data has been actually printed.

The invention teaches a shielding conductor surface enclosure, an interior shielding conductor plane, a contact conductor from the shielding conductor plane and the shielding conductor surface enclosure, a path for electromagnetic signals to pass through a shielding conductor plane, a filter network, and an electrostatic voltage clamp. Protection is provided by filtering the incoming signals, electrically coupling the signals of an undesired bandwidth to a shield barrier, and electrically coupling signals of an undesired voltage to a shield barrier. The shield surface is physically differentiated from the ground plane surface.
