Abstract:
A print head module (20) for depositing a substance has an axis and a plurality of print heads (22) provided with nozzles (23). The heads are distributed along the axis to form an elongate compound head having nozzle redundancy by arranging the heads in partially overlapping relation to one another. This allows deposition of the substance from the nozzles in uniform swathes having different angles transverse to the axis.
Abstract:
The invention relates to organic semiconductive polymers comprising a new backbone system, monomers for the preparation of such polymers, methods for the preparation of such polymers and the use of such polymers in organic optoelectronic devices.

Abstract:
A composition for ink jet printing an opto-electrical device, comprising a charge injecting and/or transporting organic material and a solvent mixture, wherein the solvent mixture is present in an amount of about 30% v/v based on the volume of the composition and comprises a first co-solvent and a second co-solvent miscible with the first co-solvent; wherein the first co-solvent comprises ethylene glycol; and the second co-solvent comprises glycerol, wherein the ratio by volume of the first co-solvent to second co-solvent is approximately 1:2. The composition provides slower drying PEDOT ink formulations having improved film uniformity within pixels and across swathe joins which do not compromise other aspects of the ink's performance.

Methods and systems for gasifier fines recycling system are provided. The system includes a gasifier slag removal system configured to separate first fines from a particulate slag removed from a gasifier by at least one of settling and filtering, a second fines handling system configured to receive second fines from a source other than the gasifier, and an injection system configured to mix the first fines and the second fines and a fuel for injection into the gasifier.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a conjugated polymer, which comprises polymerizing in a reaction mixture (a) an aromatic monomer having at least two boron derivative functional groups selected from the group consisting of boronic acid groups, boronic ester groups, and borane groups, and an aromatic monomer having at least two reactive halide functional groups, or (b) an aromatic monomer having one reactive halide functional group and one boron derivative functional group selected from the group consisting of boronic acid groups, boronic ester groups, and borane groups, an amount of a catalyst suitable for catalyzing the polymerization of the aromatic monomers, and a base in an amount sufficient to convert the boron derivative functional groups into boron anionic groups, characterized in that the reaction mixture further comprises a first solvent and a second solvent with which said first solvent is substantially immiscible and an emulsifier in an amount sufficient to form an emulsion of the reaction mixture.

Polymers for use in organic electroluminescent devices The invention relates to organic semiconductive polymers comprising a new backbone system, monomers for the preparation of such polymers, methods for the preparation of such polymers and the use of such polymers in organic optoelectronic devices.
Abstract:
The instant invention relates to a new method for the synthesis of monomers and their use inter alia in the manufacture of semiconductive polymers. Monomers, in particular, asymmetric monomers, such as asymmetric fluorene compounds, are valuable material in the manufacture of semiconductive polymers. The know methods for producing asymmetric monomers, such as asymmetric fluorene compounds, are expensive due to the formation of by-products. The method according to the present invention avoids the formation of such by-products and is described in more detail in claims 1 to 14.
