摘要: An improved composite container is disclosed in which a composite end closure member having a horizontal generally disk-shaped central portion and an annular flange portion is bonded to one end of a tubular cylindrical composite body member, preferably by the use of radio frequency or dielectric energy. Preferably, the body member end portion is reversely inwardly curled to define an upwardly extending curled portion the free extremity of which is contiguous with the end member, thereby to structurally reinforce the container and to more securely hold the end member in place.

摘要: A method of applying a bag to an aerosol type container wherein the product bag is formed of a stretchable material. An upper part of the product bag is first positioned on a tool, after which the product bag is inserted into the can until the upper part becomes seated on the curl which defines a valve cup receiving opening. Then the tool is actuated to effect a radial outward stretching and deformation of the bag upper part with the bag upper part being formed about the curl and thus secured in place relative to the curl. The tool is then removed, the product bag filled with the product, and the customary valve cup positioned.

摘要: A dispensing container assembly which includes an outer support container of conventional construction having therein a product bag which is closed by a dispensing unit including a pump unit. A handle assembly is provided for interlocking supporting engagement with the dispensing unit and includes a drive motor for driving the pump unit. The handle assembly carries an electrical power supply which is automatically rechargeable when the handle assembly, attached to a container assembly, is seated on a supporting base.

摘要: Timed release of measured quantities of an aerosol spray is accomplished by attachment of an improved dispenser to a conventional aerosol container. The contents of the container are controllably passed through a porous sintered plug and a flow restricting orifice into a measuring chamber in the body of the dispenser. The exit passage of this chamber is sealed by a spring disk which is concave upward with its periphery seated against a shoulder encircling the exit orifice. As the container contents enter the chamber, the pressure therein rises until it is sufficient to overcome the spring resistance of the disk. When this occurs, the disk snaps into its stressed condition, assuming a concave downward shape. It is then supported on projections formed on the exit orifice shoulder. These projections retain the stressed disk in spaced relation to the exit orifice and allow a quantity of the chamber contents to pass around the disk and escape through a nozzle mounted on the exit orifice. As the chamber contents escape, the pressure within the chamber diminishes until the disk snaps back to its original shape. The cycle is then repeated.

摘要: A barrier aerosol package wherein a product bag is positioned in a container and has the upper portion gathered and sealed to the container curl defining a valve cup receiving opening. A tool is provided for receiving the upper part of the product bag and supporting the bag for the application of a band of adhesive, after which the tool is utilized to collapse the bag while uniformly folding or gathering that part of the bag to which the adhesive has been applied. The tool then applies the collapsed bag to the container and trims the excess bag material, after which the bag is inflated to restore its initial configuration followed by the removal of the tool.

摘要: An aerosol type container wherein a separate product bag of plastics material is provided. The bag is of a larger size than the opening in which the valve cup is seated and thus must be gathered or pleated to pass through that reduced diameter opening. The initially gathered or pleated bag material is compressively engaged between the top curl defining the opening and the valve cup and is heated to a molding and bonding temperature so that a molded ring conforming to the adjacent portions of the top curl and the valve seat is formed, this part eliminating the usual need for a compound or other sealant between the valve cup and the top curl.
