摘要： The device for fixing an object by screwing to a section having two flanges directed substantially towards one another and defining therebetween a longitudinal opening comprises an elongated plate provided with one of the threaded portions and rotatable in a plane substantially parallel to that of the flanges of the section. In a free position, the longitudinal direction of the plate corresponds substantially to that of the section. In a retained position, the plate is retained under the flanges of the section and immobilized in one at least of the directions of rotation. Resilient means are provided for urging the plate towards the flanges of section in the retained position. The resilient means bear on a wedge intended to be inserted between the external face of the flanges of the section and the object to be fixed. This wedge has a passageway for a connecting rod between the plate and the other screw fixing element.

摘要： A sawing apparatus for sawing long lengths of material into shorter pieces having a predetermined length and discarding spoiled and short end pieces comprises a saw movable across a saw table formed in two parts which can be tilted independently of each other to tip sawn material into a receptacle. The downstream part has a nose piece projecting just beyond the saw to support the leading end of a length to be sawn. The apparatus also comprises exit and entry tables and a number of sensors for respectively detecting the leading and trailing ends of the lengths of material and for automatically initiating sequences of operations of releasable clamps for clamping the lengths of material, traversing movements of the saw, and the tiltable table parts.

摘要： An apparatus for stretching an extruded length of metal comprises a plurality of sets of tailstock jaws mounted at fixed positions in line with and spaced from each other, and a set of headstock jaws mounted in line with the sets of tailstock jaws and movable towards and away from the sets of tailstock jaws by a motor. The sets of tailstock jaws are individually controlled by respective sensors which when energized emit a signal in response to the presence of the trailing end of an extruded length of metal travelling past the sets of tailstock jaws, and the sensor signal actuates closure of the associated tailstock jaws on the trailing end of the extruded length.

摘要： An extrusion die has a die aperture which is negatively tapered essentially throughout its length at an angle of at least 1.degree. such that any friction stress between the die lands and metal flowing through them is negligible, the length of the lands being not more than 2 mm so that fouling does not significantly take place thereon during extrusion. Faster extrusion speeds can be achieved, particularly when extruding aluminium alloy having a shear strength of from 1.2 to 4.0 Kg/mm.sup.2 at 500.degree. C.

摘要： A device for connecting an electric conductor mounted within a housing is provided, on a first lateral face, with an opening for the introduction of the electric conductor and, on a further lateral face perpendicular to the first one, with another opening for the introduction of a tool. Said device comprises a contact member secured within the housing and means for resilient jamming of the electric conductor against the contact member. The means for resiliently jamming the conductor consist of a single member comprising a presser tongue contained in a plane making an acute angle with the plane of the contact member and a portion for transmitting the resilient force created by resilient means which bear on the face of the contact member opposite to that on which the tongue bears. The portion is contained in a plane adjacent to the contact member at right angles with the plane of the contact member and parallel to the direction of introduction of the wire.

摘要： A ferrule for the end of an electric cable is equipped with a removable identification tag. A skirt of the ferrule has a space adapted to receive and to retain a first extremity of a removable tag. An identification zone of the central region of the tag has a profile adapted to permit the placing in position of rings in one direction and to retain the rings against removal in the reverse direction. The ferrule is advantageously used in all electrical installations wherein the identification means of the cables have to be modified and/or are composed of different numbers of characters.
