    摘要: Embodiments may communicate via an electromagnetic radiator, or light source, that can be amplitude modulated such as light emitting diode lighting via receivers that can determine data from light received from the radiator. Some embodiments decode data of a packet transmitted from modulated lighting by means of a device with a low sampling frequency such as a relatively inexpensive camera. Many embodiments determine locations of start frame delimiters in packets. Several embodiments implement repeat decoding on packets of the same data to reduce packet error rates. Some embodiments are intended for indoor navigation via photogrammetry using self-identifying light anchors. In many embodiments, the data signal may be communicated via the light source at frequencies causing flicker that is not perceivable to the human eye.

    摘要: Methods and systems to permit multiple virtual machines (VMs) to separately configure and access a physical resource, substantially outside of a virtual machine monitor (VMM) that hosts the VMs. Each of a plurality of virtual machines (VMs) may access and configure the physical device through corresponding instances of a device driver that exposes controllable functions of the physical device within the VMs. VM-specific configuration parameters and connection information may be maintained for each of the VMs, outside of a VMM, to reconfigure or virtualize the physical device for each of the VMs with the corresponding VM-specific configuration parameters and connection information. Physical device virtualization augmentation features may be implemented within a combination of a physical device controller and a host device driver that executes outside of the VM.

For instance, a measurement request may be transmitted from a first device to a second device. This measurement request directs the second device to take one or more measurements of a wireless channel. For example, the measurement request may indicate at least one directional parameter and at least one timing parameter for the one or more measurements. In response to the request, the first device receives a measure report that includes measured values for each of the one or more measurements.

    摘要: Two wireless communications devices in a wireless network may reserve a period of time for directional data communications between themselves during a Contention Access Period. The technique may include transmitting Clear-to-Send messages to each other, and to any other devices with which either has established a directional link, to prevent interfering transmissions from these other devices. Other devices that have not established a directional link with either of these two may overhear the CTS messages and also refrain from transmitting interfering signals during the reserved time period.
