Abstract:
This cutting wheel for isostatic cutting device comprises a cutting edge having a rounded tip, followed by a first frustoconical portion having a greater vertex angle than the second frustoconical portion following said first portion, said frustoconical portions being interconnected by a fillet.
Abstract:
This freewheel device of the wedging-cam locking type comprises a series of cam members retained by a positioning cage between inner and outer rings. The cam members are held in relative position and in bearing engagement with the cage by individual resilient means counteracting the action of the centrifugal force. Said cage is connected to one ring and the cam members engage the rings by pivoting or rocking under the centrifugal force only beyond a predetermined speed given for a limited number of cam members of which the return force of the individual resilient means is the lowest and balanced by the centrifugal force. This device is applicable to the freewheel coupling between engine and change-speed mechanisms of automotive vehicles.
Abstract:
This method consists in holding the workpieces in a driving device and imparting two movements of rotation thereto, namely a movement of relative rotation of each workpiece about its axis and a movement of rotation of all the workpieces together with their driving device about the axis of this device which forms a predetermined angle with the axis of the grinding wheel revolving in the opposite direction compared with said device, the workpieces being fed automatically to said driving device, then brought into grinding engagement with the wheel and eventually ejected also automatically upon completion of the continuous machining operation.
Abstract:
A clutch release bearing of the type including a thrust bearing slidably mounted on a guide tube for axial movement by a clutch actuator to disengage the clutch includes centering means to permit alignment and centering of the bearing axis with the axis of the clutch despite misalignment between the axes of the guide tube and clutch. The entering means includes a resilient centering ring which encircles and slides along the guide tube, with the centering ring being designed to permit both radial and angular deflection to permit both centering and alignment of the bearing axis relative to the clutch axis. The resilient centering ring also acts as a vibration dampener to silence the clutch.
Abstract:
This clutch release bearing of the rolled-sheet ball-race type is characterized in that the inner ball-race 2 is assembled with the bearing ring 5 of the clutch control fork by means of an internal ring of deformable plastic material 6 of which the outer contour surrounds the inner contours of said bearing ball-race 2 and bearing ring 5, the inner bore of said plastic ring 6 corresponding to the diameter of the sliding shaft.
Abstract:
A clutch release bearing assembly includes an antifriction bearing supported for sliding movement on a bearing guide tube by a resilient aligning and centering sleeve. The sleeve is formed from a resilient material by injection or compression molding and includes an outer annular portion adapted to support the bearing, an inner cylindrical sleeve portion adapted to be slidably mounted on the guide tube, and a resilient web portion integrally joining the inner and outer portions. The web is deformable to permit centering and aligning movement during actuation of the clutch.
Abstract:
This device for feeding, loading and discharging workpieces by loading them rotatably and centerlessly utilizes peripheral holding members of which at least one is movable for performing the loading step and constitutes the lower support of the workpiece, mounted on a movable unit displaceable along an abutment acting as a ramp for lifting the workpieces from a reception position to a loading position; this movable unit acts at the same time as a ramp for lowering the workpieces between its holding members after clearing said feed ramp, the path along which said movable holding member is caused to travel diverging from the path along which the workpieces are discharged by gravity, in order to permit this discharge.
Abstract:
An integrated freewheel mechanism characterized in that it comprises between an outer race and an inner race a plurality of rolling elements and a plurality of wedging cams having their front and back surfaces consist at least partially of parallel planes, the surfaces of said cams which engage said inner and outer races being at least partially cylindrical, said cams being each disposed between two adjacent rolling elements and urged for engagement with said inner race through resilient means.
Abstract:
Seal for ball and roller bearings, of the type wherein the seal consisting of rubber or similar material is associated with one of the bearing races and comprises at least one lip coacting with an associated surface of the other race, such as a baffle plate, characterized in that the seal comprises an annular portion or bead force fitted to a surface associated with the race receiving same, thus providing between the lip or lips of said seal and the surface associated therewith a chamber adapted to be filled with a substance for improving the frictional contact while isolating said seal.
Abstract:
Seal for rolling-contact bearings, characterized by the combination of a resilient seal mounted on the outer race with a deflector member mounted on the inner race or any adjacent surface with which the sealing lip of said seal is in smooth sliding or frictional contact.
