Abstract:
In a method for opening a transport pocket (15), which is moved in a conveying direction (BR) along a running rail (11) extending in the conveying direction (BR) for the conveying of goods suspended on a carriage (12), simple and precise loading and/or unloading of the transport pocket (15) is enabled by the fact that the carriage (12) with the transport pocket (15) suspended thereon is stopped in its forward movement at a predetermined point of the running rail (11) in order to open the transport pocket (15), and that the transport pocket (15) of the carriage (12) is opened for loading and/or unloading of conveyed goods to be transported.
Abstract:
Article sorting equipment of the invention comprises a flat conveyor of the chain type having carrier links configured to convey articles towards sorting outlets in a certain conveying direction. The links are mounted to slide on the chain transversely relative to the conveying direction and the sorting outlets are disposed under the links of the chain, one after another in the conveying direction. The links are also arranged to come out from under the articles when they are slid so as to cause the articles to fall into the sorting outlets. A monitoring and control unit for monitoring and controlling the sorting equipment is also configured to cause the links to slide as a function of the sorting outlets into which the articles are to be sorted.
Abstract:
A materials handling device comprising a cascade of vibrating conveyors (61, 71, 81), each upstream conveyor (61, 71) being nestable in an adjacent downstream conveyor (71, 81) with clearance, and at least one of any two adjacent conveyors being movable relative to the other conveyor from a nested condition in which product is conveyed from the upstream conveyor to the adjacent downstream conveyor to a separated condition in which product falls from the upstream conveyor into a gap formed between the upstream and downstream conveyors. The invention avoids mechanical gates which are noisy, unreliable and are liable to trap the product being conveyed.
Abstract:
A parts feeding apparatus includes a plurality of cassettes respectively holding therein rows of parts of different types and removably attached to a plurality of parts supply openings arranged at predetermined angular intervals along the peripheral edge of a rotating circular plate. The circular plate is intermittently rotatable so that a selected one of the parts supply openings and the cassette attached thereto are positioned relative to the inlet opening of a parts delivery chute. An open lower end of the cassette is opened and closed at predetermined time intervals by a reciprocating slide plate member disposed in a parts supply unit. The parts feeding apparatus thus constructed is compact in size and simple in construction. Since the cassettes are arranged on the same circumference on the circular plate, the parts to be fed can be automatically and smoothly changed or switched from one type to another. Thus, the apparatus is readily adaptable to the production of articles of different types to be manufactured in relatively small lots or in relatively large lots.
Abstract:
An apparatus for transporting closing caps in vessel closing machines. In order to eliminate the risk of caps getting crushed and to increase the operating reliability and efficiency, the apparatus is characterized in that the end portion of the conveying duct is directly followed in the direction of movement of the engaging means by a guide channel for guiding the caps, the guide channel comprising guide elements extending at both sides of the path of the engaging means, and that the transporting device is so formed that prior to the arrival of the associated engaging means it transports the respectively foremost cap from the end portion of the conveying duct at least partly between the guide elements and retains it there, if necessary, until the arrival of the engaging means.
Abstract:
Device for the positionally correct feeding of test strips to an analysis unit. The test strips 10 include a base layer and at least one raised test field fixed to one side of the base layer. The test strips are contained disordered with respect to their longitudinal axis rotation position in a storage container. A separation and position correcting device 1 serves to feed the test strips 10 individually one after the other in a defined position to the analysis unit. Simplicity of construction and reliable operation are achieved due to the fact that the separation and position correcting device 1 includes a position correcting stage 30 with two rolls, between which a narrow gap 35 exists. The rolls rotate so that the surface 31a of the first roll 31 moves in the region of the gap 35 from top to bottom, while the surface 32a of the second roll 32 moves from bottom to top. The first roll 31 includes peripheral raised webs 37 which are in alignment with test field-free regions of the test strips 10. The second roll 32 is provided with axially parallel running drivers 38. The width of the gap 35 in the region of the raised webs 37 is smaller than the thickness of the test strips including the test field.
Abstract:
A feed path for transporting a button body with the front face of a buttonhead facing upward is disposed between a trough, which is formed longitudinally on the underside of an upper member and has a receiving surface on its one side receiving a part of the periphery of the buttonhead, and a pressuring surface of a lower member, which faces the receiving surface and is urged resiliently upward. According to a preferable embodiment, the pressuring surface is inclined relatively downward and away from the periphery of the rear face of the buttonhead and has a recess on its side to allow a tongue to rotate. While the button body is pushed by the pusher along the feed path, a part of the periphery of the buttonhead is pressed by the pressuring surface. Accordingly, friction force is increased there to facilitate that the button body can be transported while it rotates about its axis. In this case, the tongue is also transported while it rotates in the recess freely without interference of an edge of the pressuring surface.
Abstract:
An apparatus for controlling the transportation of cured tires on a tire feed path including a device for supplying a white tire which can be discriminated positively from the cured tires on the tire feed path, a device for placing cured tires on the tire feed path in such an order that the white tire is followed by the cured tires, a photoelectric sensor for detecting the white tire on the tire feed path to generate a reference signal, a memory circuit for storing tire identification signals by means of which the tires have been cured by curing machines, a circuit for reading the tire identification signals out of the memory circuit under the control of the reference signal, and a device for selectively transporting respective cured tires into predetermined paths in accordance with the read out tire identification signals.
Abstract:
A button orienting and placing apparatus comprises a guide table defining a substantially horizontal first guide channel, and a chute defining a slanting second guide channel communicating at its lower end with one end portion of the first guide channel remotely from a die. Each of the first and second guide channels is composed of a button-head guide passageway for receiving a head of the button, and a claw guide passageway for receiving a pair of claws of the button. The claw guide passageway of the first guide channel has a arcuate lower end portion curved toward the die.
Abstract:
A supply aparatus for supplying screws, rivets, or the like includes a chute for supplying screws or the like to a predetermined position, a detecting means for detecting that one of screws or the like has been taken out from the predetermined position, and a vibrating means for vibrating the chute. When the detecting means detects that one of the screws, or the like, has been taken out from the predetermined position, the vibrating means temporarily vibrates the chute, so that the following screws or the like can be smoothly supplied to the predetermined position.
