    Abstract: An articulation used in automobile seats, comprising: a mobile flange having a mobile flange inner toothing; a double satellite; a fixed flange having a fixed flange inner toothing for cooperating with said double satellite, the toothings of which mesh on one side with the fixed flange inner toothing of the fixed flange, and on another side with the mobile flange inner toothing of the mobile flange; an eccentric acting on the double satellite; a driving axis of the eccentric provided with at least one snug, the eccentric being made of two discs angularly mobile with respect to one another, each disc having an arched window; and a resilient element, said discs being connected to one another by said resilient element housed in said arched windows, while a central portion of each of said discs is formed with at least one circular recess, extended by a hollow housing adapted for receiving one of said snugs, and wherein each disc is noncircular and housed inside a bore of the double satellite; the two discs, when in a position spaced apart from one another, ensuring a clearance take-up and also an irreversibility of the articulation.

    Abstract: A head rest adjusting device using a friction mechanism, which permits the forward and backward rotative adjustment of the head rest relative to a head rest stay. The friction mechanism comprises a substantially U-shaped leaf spring receiving the head rest stay therein, and a protruding resilient section is formed on the folded area of the leaf spring so as to give an additional resiliency to the leaf spring per se and thus provide a stable proper friction against the rotation of the head rest about the stay.

    Abstract: A headrest assembly used in a motor-vehicle seat formed with an upwardly open recess has a pair of complementary housing shells having mating annular edges that meet and are joined together substantially on an upright plane to form a cavity. Each shell is formed with a pair of seat halves open at the plane and forming with the seat halves of the other shell a pair of seats aligned along a horizontal axis and lying on the plane. The joined shells are set and secured in the recess of the seat. Respective pivot bodies in the cavity engaged in the seats are pivotal therein about the axis between upright and horizontal positions. Respective support rods extend radially from the pivot bodies out of the cavity and a headrest is fixed on the support rods outside the cavity.
