    摘要: An apparatus (20) for providing facilitation of mobile gateway operation may include at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code may be configured, with the processor, to cause the apparatus to perform at least causing provision of configuration instructions (210) to one or more machines (42) where the configuration instructions define at least a discontinuous reception period and beaconing instructions for the one or more machines relative to machine communications utilizing network defined resources, and causing provision of connection information (220) to a mobile terminal (10) to identify connection parameters that correspond to the configuration instructions provided to the one or more machines where the connection information enables establishment of communication between the mobile terminal and the one or more machines. A corresponding method is also provided.

The method may include sending to a target base station a handover request message including a proposed common identifier for a device-to-device pair and a proposed allocation of radio resources for the device-to-device pair; receiving, from the target base station in response to the handover request message, a handover request reply message including a confirmation of the proposed allocation and of the proposed common identifier; sending to a first device of the device-to-device pair a handover command including the proposed allocation and the proposed common identifier; receiving, from a second device of the device-to-device pair, a measurement report representative of the target base station; and determining whether to initiate a handover of the second device to the target base station, wherein when the handover is initiated, the first device of the device-to-device pair and the second device of the device-to-device pair are handed over to the target base station. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.

    摘要: There is stored a database of registration information associating UEs with cells under control of different network operators. In response to a inquiry from a first network operator that a first UE desires direct communications with a second UE, the registration information is used to coordinate between the first network operator and the second network operator to facilitate establishment of a direct communication link between the first UE and the second UE. In various embodiments the facilitating is enhancing the inquiry/page by adding a cell ID of the first UE's cell and adding pre-allocated radio resources in the first UE's cell for use by the second UE in responding to the page, and determining a single network which is not highly loaded and which can allocate resources for the D2D communications and directing one or both UEs to that single network.

    摘要: In radio communication networks, such as the Long Term Evolution (LTE) or the LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), a user equipment (UE) may communicate with another UE via a base station. UEs may also communicate directly with each other by applying resources dedicated by the network for a device-to-device (D2D) direct communication. One part of device-to-device (D2D) communication is discovery to find other interesting peers (in general a peer can mean an application, user, service, device, etc.) in proximity. The discovery can be implemented either using the direct radio signals between the devices or it may utilise network side in the process. The same discovery process may be utilised in relation to small cells. A system information block SIB comprising information on small cell discovery and D2D is generated. Any change in the SIB is indicated in a paging message. The UE receiving the paging message is thereby requested to also receive the related SIB to apply the changed information.

The method includes receiving an indication that a first carrier is not received by a first base station and a second carrier is received by the first base station (610). Assigning a maximum transmission power for the first carrier so as not to exceed a transmission power for the second carrier is also included (620). The method also includes simultaneously transmitting from a UE on at least the first carrier and the second carrier. Transmitting on the first carrier is performed in accordance with the maximum assigned transmission power (630). Apparatuses and computer readable media are also described.
