    摘要: In radio communication networks, such as the Long Term Evolution (LTE) or the LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), a user equipment (UE) may communicate with another UE via a base station. UEs may also communicate directly with each other by applying resources dedicated by the network for a device-to-device (D2D) direct communication. One part of device-to-device (D2D) communication is discovery to find other interesting peers (in general a peer can mean an application, user, service, device, etc.) in proximity. The discovery can be implemented either using the direct radio signals between the devices or it may utilise network side in the process. The same discovery process may be utilised in relation to small cells. A system information block SIB comprising information on small cell discovery and D2D is generated. Any change in the SIB is indicated in a paging message. The UE receiving the paging message is thereby requested to also receive the related SIB to apply the changed information.

    摘要: The present invention discloses an apparatus, a method and a computer program for resolving a hidden node problem in relation to handshake message transferring e.g. in WLAN networks. In one embodiment of the invention, the apparatus receiving a Clear to Send (CTS) message repeats the message after a Short Interframe Space (SIFS) time period. Stations not directly hearing the original CTS due to a low power are able to receive the repeated CTS and defer their transmissions accordingly. In another embodiment, the apparatus receiving the CTS message indicates in its Ready to Send (RTS) message that the CTS sender station has a low transmitting power. With this knowledge, the other present stations can defer their transmissions until they are sure that the data transfer between the first two stations having the RTS-CTS messaging has not been initiated or is already completed.

    摘要: The invention allows fairness provision in wireless mesh networks with respect to the data rate that stations communicate. A fairness metric is obtained during a mesh profile negotiation performed in order for a wireless station to join a wireless mesh network. Predetermined mesh transmission parameters of the wireless station are sent to previously joined wireless stations in a predetermined neighborhood of the wireless station. From the previously joined wireless stations their respective predetermined mesh transmission parameters are received. In response to a first predetermined event, a transmission opportunity window is determined for the wireless station based on the obtained fairness metric, the predetermined mesh transmission parameters of the wireless station, and the predetermined mesh transmission parameters of the previously joined wireless stations.

    摘要: A coexistence central entity CCE receives deployment messages from each of a plurality of N access nodes. Each deployment message has an identifier of an access node of the plurality and an identifier of a channel in a license-exempt band. From the received deployment messages the CCE compiles and maintains a database which associates each channel with a multicast group. Each multicast group includes all of the access nodes from which was received at least one deployment message identifying a said channel corresponding thereto. When the CCE receives a multicast message from one of the access nodes identifying a given channel, it checks the database to find members of a multicast group associated with the given channel, and notifies at least some of those members of the received multicast message. In this manner the access node's multicast message is forwarded among the whole group.
