The present invention relates to a mannequin, and, more specifically, relates to a large-scale promotional mannequin capable of being manipulated while moving carried on a person's shoulders like a backpack at, for example, various venues or on the streets for the purpose of advertising or promotion. The backpack-type large-scale promotional mannequin according to the present design comprises: a main mannequin body fitted with a blower operated by means of a battery on one side such that air can be injected therein in tube fashion; a support for supporting the main mannequin body from the bottom so as to allow same to be upright; and a backpack means for strapping, onto the shoulders, the main mannequin body supported upright by means of the support.

A reverse-proxying method and a server/client system using the same are provided. The reverse-proxying method includes: providing, by a server, a service to a client; and, when the server enters a standby mode, providing, by a reverse-proxying server connected to the server, some services of the server on behalf of the server. Accordingly, the client receives the service without interruption and energy efficiency of the whole system is improved.

The invention provides a glucitol derivative having the function of reducing a blood sugar level and having preferable properties required of medicines, such as long-lasting drug activity; and a medicinal composition for use in the prevention or treatment of diseases attributable to hyperglycemia, such as diabetes, complications of diabetes, and obesity. The derivative is a compound represented by the formula (I): wherein m is an integer selected among 1-3; R1 to R4 each independently is optionally substituted alkyl, etc.; Ar1 is optionally substituted naphthyl; and A is optionally substituted heteroaryl, a prodrug of the compound, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of either. Novel compounds having indazole frameworks, as well as a method for preparing the same and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same are provided. The compounds of the present invention can inhibit protein kinase activity and thus the pharmaceutical composition of the present invention can be used to prevent or treat diseases or disorders which are related to protein kinase activity.

A method of controlling a display apparatus displaying a picture according to an input video signal including a horizontal synchronous signal and a vertical synchronous signal includes setting one or more exclusive display modes, setting whether to apply an auto-adjustment function to the video signal, determining a display mode of the video signal according to the horizontal and vertical synchronous signals when the auto-adjustment function is set to operate, and performing the auto-adjustment function when the determined display mode is not equal to any one of the one or more exclusive display modes. The display apparatus and the control method thereof selectively perform the auto-adjustment function according to the display mode of the input video signal.

A display device having an A/D (Analog/Digital) converter receiving a signal from a personal computer (PC) and converting the signal into a digital signal a decoder receiving external input signals from an external signal inputter such as a TV or a Video player that decodes the external input signals into the digital signal, and a video processor that performs a PIP (Picture In Picture) signal process displaying one of the PC signal converted and the decoded external input signal as a main screen and the other one as a sub main screen, thereby enabling the converted PC signal and the decoded external input signal to be displayable on a display. The display device also has a memory storing different display property values depending on the external signal inputter setup; and a controller controlling the PIP signal process of the video processor based on an external signal, reading the display property values from the memory, and controlling the decoded external input signal to be converted depending on the read display property values.

An apparatus and method thereof to improve a response speed of an LCD includes a noise rejection unit and a comparator. The noise rejection unit rejects noise in current digital image data and previous digital image data at a same pixel position as in the current digital image data. The comparator compares the current digital image data and the previous digital image data of which noises are rejected within a reference value, changes the current digital image data based on a comparison result, and outputs a result indicative thereof.

A display apparatus having a display to display a picture, including an input unit, a data operator, a storage unit to store data about a gamma curve to be applied corresponding to an average input brightness of an input video signal, an auto-adjuster to adjust a position and a definition of the picture being displayed on the display, a gamma adjuster to adjust an output brightness of the picture being displayed on the display, and a controller to control the data operator to calculate picture adjustment data about optimum position and optimum definition based on synchronous signals and the input video signal when the input unit generates an input signal, and controlling the data operator to calculate the average input brightness of the input video signal and the gamma adjuster to adjust the output brightness of the picture on the basis of the data about the gamma curve to be applied corresponding to the calculated average input brightness from the storage unit while controlling the auto-adjuster to adjust the picture with respect to the picture adjustment data. Thus, a display apparatus and a control method thereof are provided, in which a gamma adjustment is implemented while an auto-adjustment is implemented.
