摘要： A liquid crystal display and a method of operating the liquid crystal display, in which the liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal panel, a gate driver, a gamma voltage generator, a data driver, and a gamma voltage compensator. The liquid crystal panel has a plurality of pixels respectively arranged in pixel areas defined by gate lines and data lines. The gate driver drives the gate lines, and the gamma voltage generator generates gamma voltages having different voltage levels from each other. The data driver drives the data lines according to the gamma voltages. The gamma voltage compensator compensates for at least one of the gamma voltages, which are generated from the gamma voltage generator, by using one of a gate-off voltage provided to the gate lines and a storage voltage provided to a storage capacitor included in the pixel.

摘要： A light source apparatus includes a light source module, a light sensor, a data converter, a light source controller and a light source driver. The light source module includes a light source. The light sensor generates sensing data by sensing the amount of light generated from the light source. The data converter converts the sensing data which exceeds a maximum value of reference data of a control range into converted sensing data within the control range. The light source controller generates a control signal for controlling the amount of light from the light source based upon the sensing data corresponding to no more than the maximum value or based upon the converted sensing data. The light source driver drives the light source by providing the light source with a driving signal based upon the control signal.

The thin film transistor is turned on to discharge the gradation display voltage charged in the plurality of liquid crystal capacitors when the discharge signal is provided to the gate discharge line.

摘要： A light source apparatus includes a light source module, a light sensor, a data converter, a light source controller and a light source driver. The light source module includes a light source. The light sensor generates sensing data by sensing the amount of light generated from the light source. The data driver drives the data lines according to the gamma voltages. The gamma voltage compensator compensates for at least one of the gamma voltages, which are generated from the gamma voltage generator, by using one of a gate-off voltage provided to the gate lines and a storage voltage provided to a storage capacitor included in the pixel.

摘要： A method of driving a display panel includes generating a gate on voltage, a first gate off voltage and a second gate off voltage. A clock signal is generated based upon the gate on voltage and the second gate off voltage. A first panel gate off voltage substantially the same as the first gate off voltage and a second panel gate off voltage substantially the same as the second gate off voltage are generated in a first operating mode. A first panel gate off voltage greater than the first gate off voltage and a second panel gate off voltage greater than the second gate off voltage are generated in a second operating mode. A gate signal is generated based upon the clock signal and the first and second panel gate off voltages to a gate line of the display panel.
