Abstract:
A submersible motor electric wire includes a conductor including a copper wire and an enamel coating formed on the periphery of the copper wire, and an insulating sheath layer formed outside the conductor. The insulating sheath layer includes a silane graft polymer as a main constituent. The silane graft polymer is formed by a graft-polymerization that an unsaturated silane compound and an organic peroxide are added to polyethylene, and is cross-linked contacting with water in the presence of a siloxane condensation catalyst. Alternatively, the insulating sheath layer includes a composition including polyethylene as a main constituent, and the composition is cross-linked by being irradiated with an ionizing radiation.
Abstract:

Abstract:
In a liquid crystal display device for receiving television signals by an interlace scanning method, number of the rows of pixels and of scan signal lines on a liquid crystal panel is increased to be the same as the number of valid scan lines of 1 frame of television signals. The original video signals to be inputted to the device are compressed to 1/2, and interpolating signals are added to every line of the compressed signals to form pseudo video signals. Shift register operation of a scan driver and the segment driver are done twice as fast as that in the conventional device, and start timing of the shift register operation of the segment driver is controlled to be shifted by 1/2 horizontal scanning period between the even field and odd field, while the pseudo video signals are applied to the segment driver. Consequently, to the rows of pixels to which original video signals are applied in the even field and to the rows of pixels to which interpolating signals are applied in the even field, interpolating signals and original video signals are applied in the odd field, respectively. Consequently, display can be carried out seemingly in accordance with the interlace scanning method.
Abstract:
A transmission type or projection type liquid crystal display device includes a light source and an active matrix type liquid crystal display panel provided with a thin film transistor arrangement. A shielding film is included for cutting off light incident upon the thin film transistor arrangement from the light source. Electrode terminals of the liquid crystal display panel and outputs of driving LSI circuits are connected to each other by flexible substrates with the connected portions between the electrode terminals of the liquid crystal display panel and the flexible substrates protected by a connected portion protecting resin. The liquid crystal display device is further provided with a light shielding device for covering at least the protecting resin portion of the liquid crystal display panel, so as to prevent light of the light source from entering the region of the connecting portion protecting resin.
Abstract:
An active matrix liquid crystal display device operable on an interlaced scanning scheme and having a plurality of liquid crystal cells and switching active elements for driving the liquid crystal cells. The liquid crystal cells and the switching active elements are arranged in a matrix fashion having rows and columns intersecting with each other. The display device comprises a plurality of sets of rows, each set being comprised of neighboring members of the rows of the matrix; a scanning unit for scanning each set with an interlaced scanning signal during any field, odd-numbered source lines each connected with one of the row forming the respective set, even-numbered source lines each connected with the other of the row forming the respective set; and a signal applying unit for applying an odd-numbered field signal to the odd-numbered source line during any field time and for applying an even-numbered field signal to the even-numbered source line during any field time.
Abstract:
A thin-film EL display panel has a plurality of scanning side electrodes and a plurality of data side electrodes. The thin-film EL display panel is excited to emit light through a pre-charge mode, a discharge modulation mode and a write mode. A voltage lower than a modulation voltage is supplied from the data side electrodes to the thin-film EL display panel as a first pre-charge voltage. Thereafter, a difference voltage between the first pre-charge voltage and the modulation voltage is supplied from the scanning side electrodes to the panel as a second pre-charge voltage, thus reducing power consumption to a minimum during the pre-charge mode.
