The electrowinning process dissolves a contaminated metal stream into an electrolyte to form a solution flow of dissolve metal and contaminants. Next, the solution is oxidized. Then, the dissolved metals in the solution are plated onto the porous cathode.

    摘要: The invention provides a method and processing system for removing both anionic and cationic technetium complexes from an aqueous solution by adjusting the pH of the solution to greater than approximately 2, and directing the solution into an integrated resin and electrochemical plating device. The integrated resin and plating device has a resin bed or resin membrane in which is disposed one or more cathodes, and one or more anodes. A potential generator produces at least a 1 volt potential between the cathodes and the anodes. As the solution passes through the resin, the technetium complexes are adsorbed onto it. When a sufficient concentration of technetium complexes is adsorbed, the plating process can atlernatively be driven to plate out the technetium onto the cathodes, or to collect various species in system anolytes/catholytes.

    摘要: Abstract of the Disclosure A shoulder sling is provided for the treatment of, for example, gleno-humeral dislocations and subluxations, capsular shifts, postoperative rotator cuff repair, postoperative Bankart procedures and soft tissue strains and repairs. The sling includes a support pillow abuts the wearer's torso, and a pouch that receives the wearer's arm. A plurality of straps suspend the pillow and pouch from the wearer's non-treatment shoulder. One of the straps prevents the pillow from shifting relative to the user, thus securely maintaining the wearer's arm at desired angles of abduction and external rotation. The pillow further includes an attached exercise grip and an indicator line that aids a physician in properly fitting the sling to the wearer.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a novel sound attenuating system. More particularly, the invention relates to a simpler, lighter, and more effective noise attenuating laminate which is made up of five specific layers of material. The laminate includes a duct liner, a moisture barrier, a fire barrier, acoustic attenuating material, and a solid backing sheet. The laminate is readily inserted into various sections of a jet engine compartment in order to attenuate the sound produced by the jet engine. Hollow rivets are used to conduct acoustical energy to the noise attenuating laminate. This novel means for conducting the acoustical energy to the laminate of the jet engine compartment allows for an improved anti-icing system, for more efficient jet engine operation, and for more efficient dissipation of acoustic energy.
