Abstract:
A gantry tower spraying system with a cartridge/receptacle assembly includes a gantry and a spray assembly coupled to the gantry to allow for translational movement of the spray assembly along the gantry. The spray assembly includes a receptacle for receiving a cartridge containing a cosmetic liquid for skin treatment, and a spray nozzle coupled to the receptacle for receiving the cosmetic liquid and dispensing the cosmetic liquid in a spray. The receptacle has an inner surface of a size and shape to generally conform to a size and shape of a portion of an outer surface of the cartridge. The spraying system can further be provided with an oscillation mechanism adapted to cause oscillation of the spray nozzle. The bottle can be provided with a keying mechanism for engaging a corresponding key structure of the receptacle.
Abstract:
An image processing method using an algorithm which incorporates simulated annealing by parallel Markov chains, the calculation of fitness values of states of the Markov chains which have substantially the same simulated annealing temperature, the calculation of the standard deviation of these fitness values, and the use of this standard deviation in setting the simulated annealing cooling schedule. The method may be used to delineate an object of interest in an image against a background by estimating the boundary of the object and optimising the fit of the region within this boundary to the region occupied by the object.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a new composition for treating pain-associated sleep disturbances, especially shortened sleep duration, comprising ibuprofen and diphenhydramine. The composition is further prepared as a bilayer tablet or caplet, or alternatively as a soft gelatin capsule composition, to prevent interaction between the active ingredients.
Abstract:
A system and interface for trading financial instruments. The system consists of an intermediary computer system that is operable to communicate with one or more trader terminals utilizing either a private line, a network or the Internet. The intermediary computer system is comprised of one or more processors and storage media. The intermediary computer system communicates with trader terminals and displays to the trader terminals a listing of financial instruments, and information related to such financial instruments, that are available for trading. The intermediary computer system periodically updates the option adjusted price of financial instruments as to provide the traders with a time period in which the price will remain stable and during which time the traders can confidently execute orders based on the then available price. A timer, which is constantly visible to traders using the electronic trading system, displays the amount of time remaining until the displayed adjusted prices will be updated. The intermediary computer system is also operable to communicate directly with selected traders or groups of traders in the form of directed messages to the trader terminals.

Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to the methods and systems for developing, specifying, and assigning descriptive information relating to the contents of a file (i.e., metadata). User interface controls on a computer screen implement a dynamically changing display which responds to user input by presenting new categories of choices. Additional controls allow optimization of the process of specifying and assigning descriptive metadata.
Abstract:
An electrostatic spray nozzle assembly mounted to a panel made of insulating material. The electrostatic spray nozzle assembly includes a nozzle cap having a nozzle outlet, and a liquid tip assembly having a liquid inlet adapted to be connected to a source of coating composition, and a liquid outlet adapted to dispense the coating composition through the nozzle outlet of the nozzle cap. The electrostatic spray nozzle assembly further includes a nozzle body, a first side of the nozzle body adapted to be coupled to the nozzle cap, and a substantially electrically non-conductive panel being positioned between the nozzle body and the nozzle cap. The substantially electrically non-conductive panel is adapted to accumulate an electrostatic charge having a same polarity as that of the coating composition dispensed during a spray operation. Further deposition of spray droplets onto the panel is prevented by electrostatic repulsion forces due to the accumulation of sufficient charge onto the surface of the electrically non-conductive panel from an initial deposit of a small volume of spray.
Abstract:
A spray chamber control system includes at least one touch-free sensor connected to at least one input of a controller, and at least one control mechanism connected to at least one output of the controller. In accordance with an embodiment, the at least one touch-free sensor includes at least one door control sensor, and the control mechanism includes a door control mechanism adapted to control opening and closing of a spray chamber door. In accordance with another embodiment, the at least one touch-free sensor includes at least one spray control touch-free sensor, and the control mechanism includes a spray control mechanism adapted to control operation of at least one spray nozzle for dispensing a spray liquid.
Abstract:
A spray device for coating a surface of a human body with a spray liquid, the spray device including at least one nozzle and at least one liquid container, wherein the at least one liquid container is adapted to hold a volume of spray liquid substantially equal to an amount required to apply a single dosage of the spray liquid for coating a surface of a human body. The spray device further includes a liquid channel adapted to connect the at least one liquid container to the at least one nozzle, and a spray valve adapted to cause the spray liquid to flow from the at least one liquid container to the at least one nozzle using the liquid channel. The spray device still further includes a control device adapted to control the operation of the spray device; and a mounting device for mounting the spray device to a mounting surface.
