Abstract:
A radio communication terminal, includes a substantially flat terminal core with a frame unit having two opposing faces, two opposing shorter sides and two opposing longer sides. The terminal includes a cover which is detachably connectable to the frame unit. The cover includes at least two cover members, devised to be assembled and disassembled in a predetermined order. One assembled cover member engages a previously assembled cover member. The previously assembled cover member is thereby more firmly attached. A cover member latches onto, and covers, a portion of one of the opposing faces, a second cover member engages with another cover member and covers another of the opposing faces and another cover member engages with and locks one of the cover members to the frame unit.
Abstract:
An in-built antenna is provided for a mobile phone or other communication device having a main printed circuit board contained within a case, wherein components for transmitting and receiving radio signals are mounted on the main circuit board. An antenna pattern or radiator is etched on the printed circuit board surface mounting the components, in electrical connection with the components, using the same process employed to form the components and connections between them. A ground plane is mounted to the opposing surface of the main printed circuit board, in facing, spaced-apart parallel relationship with the antenna pattern and in spaced-apart parallel relationship with the main printed circuit board.
Abstract:
A device includes a front cover with a cutout, a rear cover connected to the front cover, and a substrate including a key pad provided within the front cover and the rear cover. The key pad is substantially aligned with the cutout of the front cover. The device also includes a key top provided adjacent to the key pad through the cutout of the front cover, and a flexible key plate provided over at least the cutout of the front cover and including an opening for receiving the key top.
Abstract:
A radio communication terminal includes a user input and output interface. The terminal includes a terminal core having a main terminal PCB carrying electronic circuits with a data processor for controlling terminal functions and a system connector. A cover connector is connected to the data processor. A releasable cover carries an auxiliary functional member and a terminal connector connected to the auxiliary functional member. The cover connector and terminal connector are configured to provide communicative connection for the auxiliary functional member of the cover to the data processing means of the terminal core. The terminal core includes an additional keyboard PCB supporting a terminal keyboard connected to the electronic circuits, and the cover connector is disposed on the additional PCB.
Abstract:
An LCD module may include a color filter (CF) layer with pixels, mounted to the first glass panel, for modifying light energy to form a display image. A transistor layer below the CD layer may include a glass panel, conductive pathways, and transistors coupled to the conductive pathways and for controlling the pixels. A control layer is located below the transistor layer and may include a display controller for generating signals to control the transistor. First wire bondings carry the signals between the display controller and the conductive pathways included in the transistor layer. The LCD module may be used in a substantially round device, such as a watch, to provide a substantially borderless display.
Abstract:
A touch button comprising a conductive key; an insulating layer that surrounds a portion of the conductive key and insulates capacitance from traveling to a metal body of a user device, and conductive and sensing layers that are flexible. A user device that includes a power touch button that, when activated, allows a user to display quick-look information when the user device is in an idle state. A pre-defined image that includes the quick-look information may not occupy the entire area of a display. The display may be an organic light-emitting diode display.
Abstract:
A device includes a housing capable of forming an internal space during operation of the device. The device also includes a camera having an optical zoom portion provided within the housing. The optical zoom portion is capable of expanding into the internal space when the camera is in use.

Abstract:
A light guide display system includes a display and a first light guide adjacent the display and having transmissive and nontranasmissive regions. The transmissive regions are configured to transmit light in a first pattern from the first light guide to the display. A second light guide is adjacent the first light guide opposite the display. The second light guide has transmissive and nontransmissive regions, and the transmissive regions of the second light guide are configured to transmit light from the second light guide through the first light guide and to the display in a second pattern.
