    摘要: An organic electroluminescent display that can prevent decreases in an average luminance of an organic electroluminescent element thereof includes: a data line to supply a data signal; a scan line to supply a scan signal; a first switching element having a control electrode electrically coupled to the scan line, to transfer the data signal from the data line; a first driving transistor having a control electrode electrically coupled to the first switching element, to control a driving current of a first voltage line; a first capacitive element having a first electrode electrically coupled to the first voltage line and having a second electrode electrically coupled to a control electrode of the first driving transistor; an organic electroluminescent element, electrically coupled to the first driving transistor and a third voltage line, to display an image in response to a current supplied from the first driving transistor; and a second voltage line to supply a reverse bias voltage of a second voltage line to the organic electroluminescent element.

    摘要: A photo sensor capable of reducing the distortion of signals output from the photo sensor to output a correct measured value and an organic light emitting display using the same. The organic light emitting display includes a pixel unit formed on a transparent substrate to display an image in response to scan signals and data signals, a scan driver generating the scan signals to transmit the scan signals to the pixel unit, a data driver generating the data signals to transmit the data signals to the pixel unit, and a photo sensor including a sensing unit sensing brightness of ambient light to output a sensing signal and a control unit for receiving the sensing signal to output a brightness control signal for controlling brightness of the image. The sensing unit disposed in a predetermined region of the transparent substrate and includes a first photo diode receiving a first driving power source to generate optical current so that a magnitude of the optical current is controlled in response to the brightness of the ambient light, a first capacitor for storing the optical current, and a first switch coupled between the first driving power source and the first photo diode to perform a switching operation.

    摘要: In a pixel circuit of an organic EL display device, a gate of a driving transistor is coupled to a gate of a compensating transistor, which is configured to operate as a diode. A precharge voltage is applied to the gate of the driving transistor while a selection signal is applied to a previous scan line, so that the compensating transistor is biased in a forward direction to apply a data voltage on the gate of the drive transistor. The driving transistor may be electrically isolated from the organic EL element (OLED) while precharging, so as to prevent the OLED from emitting a light using the precharge voltage. In addition, the driving transistor may be electrically isolated from the OLED while the data voltage is being charged, so as to prevent the OLED from emitting a light.
