Abstract:
A frozen dessert product that includes as gel providing ingredients an anionic gelling hydrocolloid and a gelation controller or inhibitor, the ingredients providing or forming a gel having a hardness of between about 25 and 150 g and an adhesiveness of less than 5 g.s. Also, composite frozen confections containing such a gel and methods for making the gel and products containing the gel.
Abstract:
An aqueous-based frozen confection having a hardness of 20-100 g and containing 0.2-0.5% a stabilizer composition of a mixture of guar, locust bean gum, carboxymethylcelulose and carrageenan. Preferably, the stabilizer elements in the stabilizer composition are present in relative amounts in relative amounts in parts by weight: guar 8-20, locust bean gum 1.5-4.5, carboxymethylcellulose 1.2-2.8 and carrageenan 0.6-1.4.
Abstract:
Apparatus for converting a flat blade band saw for use with spiral blades, the apparatus having upper and lower guide means for guiding a continuous spiral blade in a band saw, and having means for securing the guide means to the band saw structure. The guide means include spaced pairs of upper and lower rollers aligned to receive and to hold a spiral blade moving in a straight line between each pair of rollers.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented automated method of generating a report of sales growth estimate from point of sale transaction settlement database includes selecting a subset of the point of sale transaction data that represents sales transactions for accounts in the transaction settlement database that are active during two consecutive reporting periods from the point of sale transaction settlement database. The selected subset of the point of sale transaction data is then analyzed based on a sorting category resulting in an estimate of sales growth rate over the reporting period.
Abstract:
A fishing harness apparatus with enhanced strength and securement of a lure to minimize a likelihood the lure separates from the apparatus in water is provided. The fishing harness apparatus includes a cap with a nose detachably coupled to a fishing line and a strip with a first pointed end and a second end. The first pointed end is disposed within a main body opening of the cap and detachably coupled to the nose of the cap. The first pointed end of the strip is able to pierce through the lure to enable the lure to be secured to the cap. An outer surface of the cap nose deflects water away from the lure, thereby enhancing the securement of the lure to the cap.

Abstract:
A chewy candy analogue that is compatible with ice confectionery products, particularly in terms of the process, storage and consumption conditions of ice confectionery products, is manufactured to provide specific properties in respect of fluid rheology, heat conduction, insulation characteristics, setting rate and plastic deformation characteristic when processed in conjunction with regular ice confection products.
Abstract:
An ice confection coating of an aqueous based sol containing a pectin and a setting agent in an amount sufficient to cause gelation of the sol. Also included are methods for preparing the coating, methods for applying the coating, and the resultant coated ice confection products.
