    摘要: A photoresist composition comprising an alkali-soluble resin (A) and a radiation sensitive compound (B), as main components, which further contains a compound (C) of the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein each of R.sup.1 to R.sup.4 which are independent of one another, is a hydrophobic substituent or a hydrogen atom, provided that all of R.sup.1 to R.sup.4 are not simultaneously hydrogen atoms, and each of a to d which are independent of one another, is an integer of from 1 to 5, and when any one of R.sup.1 to R.sup.4 is present in a plurality, the plurality of such any one of R.sup.1 to R.sup.4 may be the same or different.

    摘要: An organic electroluminescence device having excellent properties of high luminance, high efficiency of light emission and long life and a novel compound having an aluminum complex structure used as a component in said device are disclosed. The invention provides an organic electroluminescence device comprising a compound having an aluminum complex structure represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X indicates --Ar.sup.1 --Y--Ar.sup.2 -- or an aryl- or alkylsilylene group, Ar.sup.1 and Ar.sup.2 indicate each an aromatic ring, Y indicates an alkylene group, a cycloalkylene group, an alkylidene group, a cycloalkylidene group, --CO--, --O--, --S-- or the like and L.sup.1 to L.sup.4 indicate each a ligand, such as a substituted or unsubstituted 8-quinolyloxy group or the like. The invention also provides a compound having an aluminum complex structure described above.

    摘要: Disclosed is an optical gain device comprising an active layer having a film thickness of 1 .mu.m or less, 10% or more by weight of fluorescent organic molecules such as stilbene dye, and a quantum yield of fluorescence of 0.1 or more, the device being capable of exciting the active layer and also waveguiding and amplifying the light emitted from the fluorescent organic molecules.The aforesaid, optical gain device is capable of improving the threshold of excitation intensity as well as the optical gain.

    摘要: A process for producing an organic electroluminescent device, comprising (a) preparing a laminated structure including at least a light-emitting layer formed of a luminescent organic solid which is disposed between mutually opposing positive and negative electrodes, the luminescent organic solid being implantable with electrons from the negative electrode and holes from the positive electrode when direct current is charged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode and thereby having an excited state therein to recombine the electrons and the holes injected into the luminescent organic solid for light emission, and (b) depositing a film of an electrically insulating polymer compound as a protection layer on an outer surface of the laminated structure, wherein the electrically insulating polymer is heated to a temperature of not more than 600.degree. C. and the protection layer is deposited at a rate of not more than 50 nm/second, wherein the layers beginning from a layer directly disposed on a lower electrode of said positive and negative electrodes and continuing to the protection layer are disposed without breaking a vacuum environment in a vacuum chamber and where the pressure in the vacuum chamber is not more than 1.times.10.sup.-2 Pa prior to each of the layers being disposed.
