摘要： A medium processing apparatus includes a crimper, a liquid applier, a driving source, and a binding load detector. The crimper presses and deforms a part of a medium bundle, which is a plurality of sheet-shaped media bundled, to bind the medium bundle. The liquid applier applies liquid to a position on the media at which binding is to be performed by the crimper. The driving source operates the crimper. The binding load detector detects a load of the crimper during the binding. The liquid applier adjusts an amount of the liquid to be applied to the media in accordance with a magnitude of the load during the binding detected by the binding load detector.

摘要： A sheet sorting device includes a plurality of trays, a tray shifter, a tray stop position detector, and circuitry. The plurality of trays is disposed in multiple stages in a vertical direction and configured to stack a sheet. The tray shifter is configured to move the plurality of trays separately in a tray shift direction. The tray stop position detector is configured to detect stop positions of the plurality of trays separately. The circuitry is configured to cause the tray shifter to move the plurality of trays to home positions in an initial operation, at least one tray having a home position opposite to a home position of another tray in the tray shift direction. The circuitry is configured to, while moving the plurality of trays at a same time in the initial operation, cause the tray shifter to move the trays in directions opposite to each other.

摘要： In an embodiment, a booklet conveying device includes: a pair of conveying units; a positioning unit; a pressing unit; and a conveying-force changing unit. The pair of conveying units convey a booklet made of a stack of folded sheets, and change a distance therebetween. The positioning unit positions the booklet by making a leading-end portion of the booklet abut thereto. The pressing unit presses the booklet positioned by the positioning unit onto one of the conveying units in order to fix. The conveying-force changing unit changes the conveying force exerted by the conveying units.
