摘要: The printer includes: a thermal head including a large number of heating elements and being arranged along a width direction of a thermal paper to be drawn from a roll sheet; a platen roller arranged opposite to the thermal head, for sending out the thermal paper by rotating in a state of sandwiching the thermal paper between the thermal head and the platen roller; and an elastic member provided on an opposite side of the platen roller with respect to the thermal head, for pressing the thermal head toward the platen roller, in which the elastic member is provided with a pressing force releasing mechanism for separating the elastic member from the thermal head according to a width of the roll sheet to be fed, and for releasing pressing of the thermal head by the elastic member.

摘要: Methanol is decomposed in the presence of a catalyst containing chromium oxide and zinc oxide as main components and containing a compound of at least one element selected from the group consisting of alkali metals, alkali earth metals and lanthanides, while contents of iron and nickel in the catalyst are each maintained at 0.5% by weight or less. This process is characterized by (1) being excellent in stability at high temperatures, (2) preventing the catalyst from deteriorating, (3) inhibiting the production of by-products, and (4) obtaining a gas in which the CO/H.sub.2 ratio is high.

摘要: At least one of ammonia and ethylenediamine is reacted with monoethanolamine in the presence of a catalyst containing phosphoric acid or its condensate in order to prepare acyclic ethyleneamines, and the catalyst can be improved in performance and the life of the catalyst can be prolonged by feeding a phosphorus-containing material to a reaction system during the reaction. In addition, the catalyst having a deteriorated performance can be reactivated by adding the phosphorus-containing material to the catalyst.

摘要: In a process for preparing an indole by reacting an aniline with a diol, a catalyst the activity of which has been reduced through its use in the reaction is brought into contact with an inert gas containing 5 vol. % or less of oxygen so that the catalyst is regenerated for its repeated utilization. The activity of the regenerated catalyst is enhanced further when it is subjected to a reducing treatment for activation upon its reutilization.

摘要: A printer performs printing on a thermal paper drawn from roll sheets having different widths. The printer has a thermal head and a platen roller arranged opposite to the thermal head and mounted to undergo rotation for sending out the thermal paper in a state of sandwiching the thermal paper between the thermal head and the platen roller. Elastic members are arrayed along the width direction of the thermal paper and are provided on an opposite side of the platen roller with respect to the thermal head for pressing the thermal head toward the platen roller. Only one of the elastic members is provided with a pressing force releasing mechanism for separating the one elastic member from the thermal head according to a width of the one roll sheet from which the thermal paper is drawn and for releasing pressing of the thermal head by the one elastic member.
