Abstract: Multilayer barrier coatings or films and methods of making the same are provided. The coatings or films include a hardcoat layer (122) including nanoparticles hosted by a binder, and a barrier layer (124) directly disposed on a major surface (122s) of the hardcoat layer (122). The binder includes one or more silicone (meth)acrylate additives.
