摘要: Disclosed is a transparent self-assembling polymer clay nanocomposite coating that is useful in food, drink and electronic packaging as a gas barrier and on textiles and clothing as a flame retardant coating. The coating includes two main components a water dispersible polymer and a sheet like nanoparticle. The coatings may be applied to any substrate. The coatings are applied sequentially with polymer being applied first followed by the nanoparticles. This sequence results in the self-assembly of a highly ordered nanocomposite film that exhibits high barrier properties and flame retardancy. The desired level of gas barrier or flame retardancy desired can be adjusted by the number of bilayers applied.

摘要: Shielding coatings are applied to polymer substrates for selective metallization of the substrates. The shielding coatings include a primer component and a hydrophobic top coat. The primer is first applied to the polymer substrate followed by application of the top coat component. The shielding coating is then selectively etched to form an outline of a desired current pattern. A catalyst is applied to the patterned polymer substrate followed by electroless metal plating in the etched portions. The portions of the polymer substrate which contain the shielding coating inhibit electroless metal plating. The primers contain polyamines and the top coat contains hydrophobic alky organic compounds.

摘要: The embodiment according to the present disclosure provides a method of manufacturing a composite film. This method includes: subjecting a porous substrate containing a thermoplastic resin to a heat treatment at a temperature T which satisfies the Formula: Tg+60° C.≦temperature T≦Tm (wherein Tg represents a glass transition temperature (° C.) of the thermoplastic resin; and Tm represents a melting point (° C.) of the thermoplastic resin); coating a coating liquid containing at least a resin and a solvent on one surface or both surfaces of the porous substrate, which has been subjected to the heat treatment, to form a coating layer, with a tensile stress in a machine direction in the porous substrate adjusted to be within a range in which an elongation of the porous substrate is 2% or less; and solidifying the coating layer to obtain a composite film including the porous substrate and a porous layer containing at least the resin formed on one surface or both surfaces of the porous substrate.

摘要: The method disclosed includes: a step (I) of preparing a dispersion liquid (S) including an aluminum compound (A); a step (II) of mixing the dispersion liquid (S) and a predetermined phosphorus compound (B) so as to prepare a coating liquid (U); a step (III) of applying the coating liquid (U) onto the base (X) so as to form a precursor layer of the layer (Y); and a step (IV) of subjecting the precursor layer to heat treatment at a temperature of 110° C. or more so as to form the layer (Y). The aluminum compound (A) can be formed by adding an acid to a solution including an aluminate. The number of moles (NM) of aluminum atoms derived from the aluminum compound (A) and the number of moles (NP) of phosphorus atoms derived from the phosphorus compound (B) satisfy 0.8≦(NM)/(NP)≦4.5.

摘要: To provide a continuous web of optical film laminate provided with static electrification prevention function which allows for promptly attenuating static charge of optical film sheet and carrier film electrified by peeling action in RTP lamination method and apparatus. The problem has been solved with a continuous web of optical film laminate for using in RTP lamination method and apparatus, in which static electrification prevention function is provided to optical film sheets and a carrier film configuring the continuous web of optical film laminate, such that sheet resistance of each of the optical film sheets and the carrier film is 1012 Ω/sq or less so as to promptly attenuate static charge of the carrier film to be collected, which is statically electrified by peeling action, and the optical film sheets to be laminated to panel components, which are also statically electrified by peeling action.
